re Map Rewards and the old system

So, with the new Map Rewards system being implemented, is the old way of getting mats being removed then? i.e. No mats from bags, chests, etc.

Or is this new system on top of the existing way?

Pre-Ordered HoT | Recently started to get what I paid for – may spend $$$

I’ve come to expect that any time anet buffs acquisition of something to expect a net result of less of that something coming my way.
