Gw2 farmville mode
Actually .. i kinda like the idea x.x
I’m supporting this. +1
Farm, lumber-mill, mine. Perhaps not for the benefit of the player like the OP suggested (turning farmed animals into a guild banquet for bonuses).
It could open up new in-guild responsibilities. Completed jobs earning influence for the guild and gold/karma for the player.
I’m really liking this, man.
Remnants of Hope [HOPE]: Tarnished Coast
Personally hoping for a little more depth to such a system. For instance:
You want to build a Artificing station in your guild hall. To do this you need 10000 influence and 100 lumber.
To get the guild lumber, you do a related guild quest. Within or outside of the guild hall, that adds 1-5 lumber per player completing it, repeatable weekly. Or for a maximum of X lumber, where the whole guild needs to work together to meet a quota. This would have to be rewarding for the player, gold/karma/items/guild reknown (A sort of leaderboard who works hard for the guild.)
There could be a large amount of such tasks that change daily, weekly, or monthly depending on the size of the task. It’s something I’ve personally been hoping for, rather than just an area you can loiter in, though I guess I am used to jumping at events that benefit my chosen guild from other games (Rift, Forsaken world etc.)
I really like this idea op.
Having a real in depth system for this could be pretty cool too especially if it was tied to crafting some how.
This sounds amazing!
Order Of Intoxication [Psy] Leader
With guild halls comes guild wars. Do you really think the new maps in pvp were meant for only pvp.
Throw in a 5-year plan and a sentient pig named Napoleon who runs everything and I am in!
I wouldn’t mind something like growing a guild vineyard and winery similar to the one in Queensdale. I think that is where the idea of killing grubs comes from anyways.

i’d support this. i’m all for simple “casual” things like this, for when i’m tired of grinding or tryharding in pvp and just want to relax and do something calming for a bit
ANet would have to do it in such a way that it didn’t seem like plagiarizing the idea behind WoW’s strongholds. The Revenant already seems a little DKish, so tread lightly is my thoughts there.

Actually, many games have guild-hall like features that has stuff like this, such as Runescapes Clan Citadels.
i like this idea. maybe add some ‘unique’ options per guild hall (all are on par, but fitting for the flavor of the guild hall)
Say you get a charr war factory for a guild hall. add in a small table to ‘make weapons’ for the legions, earning some influence for the guild. For an asura-style guild hall it could be you ‘perform research’ for influence. same result, but flavor fitting.

You mean like how WoW plagiarizes ideas from every other game on the market? Let us see> Lost Isles is a copy of GW2’s Dynamic Events. And that’s just the only one that I can majorly think of off the top of my head. There are dozens of examples to look at if you search it’s “features” added with major content updates and expansions over the years (in fact, it’s pet battles is a copy of Polymock from GW1, which is similar to Pokemon overall).
And the garden idea isn’t a rip on Garrisons either, as Farmville, Cityville both came first. Even minecraft had a matter of growing your own things first. SimCity anyone? Oh and I do think that ArcheAge came out before WoD by nearly 1.5-2 years, and it had gardens and housing out the wazoo! (amongst the rampant hacking and troublesome management of the game, that is).

oh this gives me the idea of a guildhall could costumize the NPCs they have for repair ur armor and sell u things. Maybe some choose only Human NPCs or Only Asuras as u said. Yes good thinking.
It would be interesting to have guild professions that could benifit from alliances with other guilds. IE one guild has a mine in their town, and other guilds are members of like an armorer, weaponsmith, or a jeweler.
What if there’s recipies you only know and can only make at the guild hall refinery or something. So much possibilities!

This is quite the idea tbh, Would make players come back to the GH on a regular basis to maintain it!
