this is not about legendaries, but rather weapon set ideasthat you want, whether they are implemented via black lion tickets or crafting or simply a set you can find on enemies

personally with the fact that we are going to be heading back into the territory near the magumma bloodstone fragment i want to see a set based on the bloodstone it self, maybe a set that looks like some tribe broke off pieces of the bloodstone not quite knowing what it was and shaped the chunks into weapons. or a set inspired by the (what is almost certainly) updated mursaat look

these are just my person ideas but i want to hear what you all want, there is so much possibility for weapon design basis

I want them to work all the weapon/armor skins that aren’t available right now into HoT. They said they’ll add them in at some unspecified date, and this would be a pretty good opportunity.

i honestly only returned to the game after the tower of nightmares collapsed, so im a bit out of the loop on missing skins, any examples?

I think HoT is a great opportunity for bringing the tribal armor back into the game, seeing as it is already verified by the devs that it will make a comeback.
I would love more nature themed armors, things made out of wood and bark, bones, fur.
As for weapons, I don’t have too many Ideas… the Bloodstone Weapon Set Idea sounds good, I’m thinking about really simple designs… pointy stones with a bit of leather and wood to get a grip and cut the enemies flesh open.
But concerning other weapons… dunno.

i would just be happy if they made a cool looking legendary shortbow or pistol for my thief. unicorns and bubbles just don’t cut it for me and hard to take seriously.

The leaked Chinese patch notes mention Shadow weapons. If it’s the same weapon as from GW1, I’ll be very pleased. The sword in particular. Though I’m interested to see how they handle the staff and hammer.

I don’t care much about new weapons, it is new armorsets I would be more interested in, I liked the carapace one, would be interesting to see what else they come up with.

A full set of weapons which actually match infinite light and beacon of light.

I assume you’re referring to the black lion tickets skins? Yeah, would love that as well. Granted you might get people complaining ‘but I spent hundreds of gold in the tp!’, but I’d think overall it would be nice for the player base to have more weapon skins in game.

I’m not talking about Black Lion skins, but rather the pile of miscellaneous weapons and armor that were only available in PVP until the first feature patch (and have been completely unobtainable since). Tribal armor is probably the most well known of the lot.

There’s a thread on here somewhere, I assume in the bug forum, that lists them all.

Looking at my characters, their weapon themes, and which new weapons they’ll be getting from specs…

Ranger – Getting Staff, uses a Nature vs Tech theme. Plenty of weapons with both of those themes, so he’s set.

Guardian – Rumored to be getting longbow. Uses a crystal weapon theme. Already saving a Zenith unlock just in case, and there are a number of other crystal bows, so she’s good.

Elementalist – Doesn’t really matter what type of weapon he gets, as his theme is elemental weapons (boring, I know :p) and there’s no shortage of those.

Mesmer – Getting shield. Uses a fancy particle effect weapon theme for the most distracting clones. Actually aren’t all that many glowy shields, so could use one or two more.

Engineer – Getting hammer. Uses animal themed weapons. Could definitely use some more of those, since there are only a small handful of them in the game and I’m not a big fan of most of them.

Necro – Getting greatsword. Uses sky themed weapons (weather, space, things that fly). Not a whole lot to choose from there, really, could use a few more. I’d also settle for them just reintroducing the Zodiac skins, because the Zodiac GS would be perfect on him but I can’t afford the current prices :o

So yah, I guess what I’m looking for in HoT skins are animal-themed hammers, sky themed greatswords, and glowy shields.

I tell you what I don’t want. More paper-mache weapons.

I know it’s a fantasy game, but there are plenty of fantasy weapons already. Where are things like the Ebon Blade? Kymswarden? And so on?
On release there was a great balance between believable (I said believable, not realistic) and high-fantasy ones.
Since then pretty much everything has been high fantasy (with the very rare exception of the rapiers) the only weapons I use on any of my characters that were not in the original release are the ascended bows, everything else I just don’t like it because I find it way over the top.

Well as for me I really really want those two sword skins on the left ^^

I’d like to see a “dark” weapon set that isn’t also an “evil” weapon set.

Something that could be called “dark, but holy”, maybe. Or weapons made with obsidian and gold. I’m tired of all the dark options trying so hard to look evil.

I need a new legit Scythe, just an updated version of the scythe from Halloween. Not a super goofy “sort of” scythe like the gargoyle staff, but a good reaper scythe thats up to date for my melee Revenant! Do want.

Really need some attractive staffs. I honestly don’t like any of the current ones.

Wish ANet would have a contest for users to design their own weapons and ANet could vote on like the top 3 of each type, and then let players choose which one they would design.

Do you mean looking at the flat of the blade, how it looks like a skinned chicken with the appendages splayed? Or is it somewhere else?

I want larger Axe skins. I like large skins on my Norn. Tired of all the small axe and sword skins. Please add larger axe and sword skins, and even mace skins. Want larger. Also more fantasy theme, and less technical theme please.
