Hi Guys

I just bought the expansion 3 days ago. just want to know, whats the fastest way to get hero points?

ATM i am running eotm with zerg, level up my wvw level to get Notarized scroll then exchange to get hero point.

is there anyway faster then this? i got 13 character, if all get elite specialisation it take forever.

I think the fastest way for many characters is to go into the HoT zones, get some masteries to help you travel, and learn what Hero Points you can grab quickly on your own. Yes, this will be slower for the first couple of characters, but after that it will be quicker. Once you’ve gotten the easy ones, then I’d consider going back to EotM for the remaining points.

Just do the HoT hero points, they give 10 points at a time. Dulfy lists the ones you can solo, and during prime time there’s usually people you can ask to help for the ones that you can’t. You’ll need to gain XP and mastery points from the HoT maps anyway for gliding, mushrooms, etc.

I recently finished the elites for my ele, mes and rev within a week using purely HoT HPs. Prior to that I finished my guard, necro and ranger with a combination of methods. You may be initially frustrated because the maps are so complex, but once your 1st character is done out, the rest get easier.

I did try notarized scrolls… found it a more convenient way to do map completion in core Tyria.

You can max out a fresh character for elite in about 2 hours, at least that’s what I did with a freshly created warrior which i leveled up with tomes. I went via the guild hall to Auric Basin and grabbed most hero points (they give always 10). If it was too hard I asked in map chat to get help or I had a friend helping me out. I went further into Verdant Brink and took 1-2 HPs in Tangled Depths.

Perhaps you can do it in only 2 hours, but I bet you already knew where everything was. I haven’t a clue where anything is. I haven’t done much, yet, but I still have no idea where any of the HP’s are. At least the first time, it will take a considerable amount of time to get them. How to get from point A to point B is very confusing, assuming you even know where point B is.

Don’t get hero points through WvW until you have gotten through the easy HoT hero points.

I got my herald from zero hero points to 80 points missing (8 HoT hero challenges) in just one evening. But yeah, you need majority of the HoT masteries for that. But why would you rush it? Enjoy your time.

A daily training schedule which consists of 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups and 100 squats along with running 10 km every single day. Eat three meals a day, but only a banana as breakfast and also don’t use the AC, to strengthen your mental resistance. This training will be tough, but if you keep it up day after day, you should be a hero in no time.

Train gliding to the max and all kinds of transport (Nuhoch wallows), and later Itzel poison. That will make your life in HoT a lot easier (some hp in VB can be directly accessed via wallows teleport).

i maxed my main character specialization in like 3 days…once i learned the ropes, it takes like 2 days average play.

Fastest way I found, is get around 30-40 in tyria 1×1, they actually go very fast and you’ll be doubling up on efforts of getting xp – you want autoloot.

in HOT – the further you get in game, the harder the hp’s are to get….so having the 30-40 tyria hp head start is a big push – because by the time you get the remaining points in HOT, is when you start running into the really hard hp points to get.

if you want to get it over quickly for all your characters, then plan on at least a week of being a pve’r – it will be easy for you because you have the dodging skills from pvp to get to the hp sites in hot fast. it’s actually fun, you’ll wish they had gliding in wvw. lol

forget about the mastery points though, they are unreasonably restricted and have illuminati control over them….but since you’ll be getting a ton of xp in this process, also take advantage and max a few fun things – i maxed out gliding and autoloot myself, i totally kittened myself for everything else though because it’s totally inconsiderate to pvprs since it forces you to do insane amounts of pve to max.

oh, and you may want to consider spending any necessary mastery points to get the viper weap and armor stats – that’s a pretty intense power stat combo for pvp and it’s account only, so you can’t buy it. i made a vipers ascended greatsword, stats to die for! lol
