A group of karka is called....
its definitely a posse of karka
in all seriousness, a group of crabs is a cast of crabs, so maybe karka share this?
maybe even a swarm or a brood?
http://christchurchcitylibraries.com/kids/animals/groups/ – this tells us that there can be more than one name for a group of a particular animal
(by the way, its a thunder of dragons and a rainbow of unicorns)
Kiel Replacement Movement
I guess it would be a pain. A pain of karka. Totally fit them :P
I nominate “rumble”.
…As in “I hear a rumble of Karka coming.”
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”
- Jareth, King of Goblins.
I think of “bushel”
Growing up on a bay, everything related to seafood (besides fish) was always in bushels. Bushel of Crab, Bushel of Oyster.
Karka probably have some good meat too.
A zerg. A zerg of Karka.

A “F**K Ton” of Karka
We discussed this in guild not about karka but quaggan. Decided a group of quaggan was a “moist”.

cuddle of quaggan
I think it’s swarm of Karka by NPCs.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
Well, according to Wode, it’s a “murder” of harpies.
the above post could be complete and utter nonsense.
Yeah, I believe it’s as Konig says, and it’s a “swarm,” of karka. Though I wouldn’t be againt a colony of karka as they do exhibit some ant-like tendencies in the way they create their homes.
No guys, listen. I have the best one:
Call them a “kark” of karka.
And then try to say this ten times fast:
Kiel killed a kark of karka.
Yes. That there is a masterpiece.
(Even though realistically Kiel would get SLAUGHTERED by just one karka. Anybody know of a really powerful NPC whose name starts with K? Do NOT say Kormir.)

cuddle of quaggan
A “buffet” of Quaggan. Yum.
They’re called swarm during Lost Shores, so there you have.

That’s because they are bird-like creatures. Because you would also say “a murder of crows”.

True but its an unkindness of ravens
I like the kark of karka, amusing. I had been thinking a Rumble myself as well.
I do believe gryphons are a pride.
A moist or cuddle of quaggan? He he ok sounds alright. Surprised no one said a qoo of quaggan

Plausable but are they using swarm generically or is it the proper name of a group of karka. Many animals can swarm but a group of them is called something else.
But thank you all keep it up. What other species? Any thoughts on a group of murellow? They look like a dog mole mix and are classified as bears according to the wiki. Do we us pack from dogs or a labor from moles or even go the bear route and use sleuth? Or do give them something new?

Also meese :P
Nightclub.
A nightclub of karka.
Krewe of karka. Ha. Seriously though? I feel like swarm is the correct answer.
(by the way, its a thunder of dragons and a rainbow of unicorns)
A glory of unicorns sounds better. Going with that. :P (#covillefan)
Swarm sounds accurate for karka.
Or a faceroll. You know, cus of the rolling?

Glory sounds good. I always heard talon or wing for dragons.
A Trample of Karka
fans hate Joffrey. They hate her the way Star Wars

Heh. Got right down to the bottom before someone said what I was going to…

Kralkatorrik says hi.
(Mechanically speaking, all friendly NPCs are weak, however tough they’re supposed to be in lore. Just look at how often Destiny’s Edge members end up chewing dirt in story dungeons. I don’t think it’s really representative of their power – it’s just that the AI can’t run a character limited to the same power as a PC with the same intelligence of a PC, and for gameplay reasons ArenaNet wants us to be doing the work rather than being the sidekicks of champion-level NPCs that do all the work. Lorewise, the Destiny’s Edge members at least are probably matches for most champions we go up against.)
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.
A bush of Karka.
A feast of Moa.
And finally a wave of Skelk (because that’s what they look like when they run around).
I like this thread. Here are my “votes” to the above, or new names.
Karka - I like Rumble, but a what about a Bowling of Karka (cause I feel like a pin when I get hit by one)
Griffon - a Pride of Griffon (Lions)
Unicorn - I like a Rainbow of unicorn (just like the legendary shortbow) alternative mix Narwhal and horse together (pod and herd) to get a “Perd of Unicron”. I believe the current standard however, is a Blessing of Unicorn
Quaggan- a Qoo of Quaggan
Harpy- a Seige of Harpy (Anyone who plays fractals knows what their arrows do, and this is a bird plural) but flock fits any bird type
Skelk - an Appearence of skelk (since the just teleport to you)
Krait - a Slither of Krait
Dragons - what is more bad-kitten than a Guild of Dragons (this is Guild Wars after all)
(edited by Holy Whirlwind.2067)
A brood would have to be Krait.
Murder for Harpy’s.
For karka I vote a Platter as in a Captain’s Platter =)
I’m sure it’s a southsun of karka

Which bay was that? Representing the Chesapeake bay here!! Only the best karka carcass here!!

I like the siege of harpies. Traditionally cranes if I remember right but seems apt here. Thank you for liking the qoo of quaggan, my secret hope is some designer sneaks that into some corner of the game in some event.
Curious would it be qoo all the time or just thier docile state. Would a group of raged out quaggan be called something else? Perhaps a rage or an ire of quaggan?

Slaughter. It’d be slaughter.
A serving of Karka – Evon Gnashblade.
Why not just call it a carcass of karka?
Well, in the end. They always end being a splat of Karka.
group of karka = repair bill

There’s just one thing that doesn’t fit quite right here… oh yeah!
Kiel never does anything.
#TeamGnashblade
There’s this guy I know who got himself high a week ago or so and reportedly ran into a whole lot of similar looking kittens on his way home. All that comes into my mind reading this atm is a ‘crackload’ of karka somehow o,o

Aye, Chesapeake myself mate.
That’s awesome! Here’s to the home of the crabby people!
Bouillabaisse .
I always thought it was a clutch of karka.

Exactly. If they were actually as powerful as they were supposed to be, they’d Kormir us in Arah.
Kormir is now a verb.
Storywise, Ellen could probably solo a young Karka, just like anyone else. And get stomped by the full grown ones, just like anyone else. She’s clearly nowhere near Destiny’s Edge’s level of power, but is probably – storywise! – close to ours. Not equal, but close. Maybe 90%; we ARE dragonslayers, after all.
Gameplay-wise, she’s no stronger than any other Level 80 warrior NPC. Tough enough to distract enemies for a while, but no AI worth speaking of.
Well, I’d say that we are supposed to be Destiny Edge level players. So I would probably say that Kiel, as far as power goes, would be closer to 75-80% our power level. But her power level isn’t really much of a thing when it comes to her story. She leads, and doesn’t fight as much.

Wait, I can solo full grown karkas, does that make my toon really strong?
Karka s ?

For quaggan, I really like qoo. Alternatively, a queue or a cuddle; an ire for their enraged state.
Since krewe is a professional designation and not a biological one, the asura need something. A class of progeny and a commencement of adults. Same thing with charr (warband, legion, etc.): a glaring, maybe? A stand of sylvari and a thing of norn.
A clutch of raptors, a bask of drakes, a nest of skales. A troop of grawl. A demi-brigade of dredge.
Actually I think it’s a Riot of raptors.
