Alphabets beside new krytan
Seafarer’s Rest server
It should be new krytan, it might just be very stylized, I’ll have to check when i log in tonight. As far as i know, the good majority of Tyria (the continent) uses new krytan.
Well, New Krytan was formed by the priory to facilitate communication between the different races.
Perhaps the separatist used the Old Krytan for their message to drive the point home?
There is also old ascalonian, you could check the GW1 wiki for more info on it.
Thanks guys, the letters match the old ascalonian ones and the poster say ‘no peace with beasts!’ It’s great that the world is so detailed.

Ascalonian is there :P
That Separatist poster is indeed Ascalonian. There’s also asuran in the game. And there’s supposed to be another still-undiscovered alphabet that can be translated too somewhere out there.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
I have begun to translate the covers of some of the books lying around in AC and CM.
So far I’ve found:
A History of the gods,
Examination of the Kingdom of Orr,
something something something Dragons by Ma[something] Va[something],
Historical Moments of Ascalon by Symon (questionable, as I can’t see it very well).
This is very useful:

There is a heart of renown in Ebonhawke that has you tearing down separatist propaganda from the streets. I was curious what the posters actually said but the letters don’t match any in the New Krytan alphabet, does anyone know what alphabet is this and how to read it?
The text in those posters say: “NO PEACE WITH BEASTS”
Those posters are written in Ascalonian, a very smart move from ANET.
The separatists believe in conservatism, meaning retaining Ascalonian instead of New Krytan, no peace with Charr, etc.
Alphabets besides New Krytan:
- Krytan
- Ascalonian
- Canthan
- Elonian
- Old Kurzick
- Mursaat
- Titan
- Vabbian
- Corsarian
- Asuran
- Charr
- Grawl
Not all these languages are fully translated, some we just have a few letters and some we don’t even know what it means.
There are also many incomplete, mysterious languages/symbols found all over Tyria that we do not know with who are they affiliated.
