Any chance of M visiting the Zephyrites?

The aspects are utilizing the magic that was within Glint’s corpse. The aspects magic comes from Glitn, basically.

I don’t think it will directly, Facepunch. Maybe indirectly if the rebuilding of LA is part of the next LS. Rebuilding or the beginning of rebuilding LA is part of the Zephyrites showing up according to Massively.
Dev’s may have said somewhere, but are we certain that Mordy will actually be part of LS2? I would like to know that myself.

Well no, I guess we’re not, I’m assuming that is the case because it seems to me to be beyond silly to awaken an elder dragon and the end of season 1 and then ignore it entirely in season 2.
I do remember hearing something about rebuilding LA, as you say. I guess it’s unlikely that this BotFW will feature the sanctum, some rebuilding and a visit from Mordremoth. Oh well, my fingers will be crossed anyway.
Thanks for the replies, guys.

It would be silly to ignore Mordremoth entirely, but not for it to focus elsewhere. The Festival isn’t the start of Season 2 anyways, and keep in mind that there were dozens of hints in the initial release that Jormag was next – or at least that the norn will try for going after Jormag.

Hints from Anet go towards Mursaat and Queen, but even there is no Mordremoth listed.
The Zephyrites hide in the sky. I don’t know how long they are around, but it seems to help against flying dragons.
It’s just wishful thinking, but I hope that this year, there will be more hints towards Glints child being discovered and protected by the Zephyrites. I recently rewatched WP’s guild wars mysteries and this was a real possibility back when the Sactum first landed:

This could be a long-term mystery, or Mister Morde could already send a champion to hunt the uncorrupted dragon down. Who knows, mere speculation.

Specifically, the impression I get was that the original sun, wind and lightning crystals were parts of Glint’s body. I think, although I’d need to go through my screenshots back then to check (and I’m not 100% sure that I managed to get it) that after discovering them they figured out how to make copies, though, so the crystals they leave spread out around the place aren’t the originals.
Regarding Mordy… I’d be surprised if he did turn up. It’s a possibility, but the Labyrinthine Cliffs are a long way away from him and, unlike Kralkatorrik, there’s no reason he’d home in on Glint-related magic as opposed to closer targets (Rata Sum…). I suspect the first appearance of Mordy-minions will be connected to the hints we’ve received that the LS would be heading Brisban-ward in the near future.

That would be awesome. My personal theory is that Glint purposefully sacrificed herself in her collaboration with Destiny’s Edge in order to get Kralkatorrik from finding Glint II (my name for Glint’s offspring; because we do not know of Glint finding a mate, it is likely she reproduced by parthenogenesis, and thus Glint’s offspring is a clone of herself). Think about it: her actions in Edge of Destiny seemed a little out of character for her; Glint rarely does anything directly, preferring to pull strings and work from the shadows. Glint II had over two centuries to absorb all of Glint’s knowledge and power. She will certainly be a force to be reckoned with if and when she chooses to reveal herself.
Dragon minions are repeatedly stated to be unable to reproduce at all unless they’re pregnant when they get corrupted. The whole body being made out of crystal and all, in the case of branded, kind of prevents such.
Glint’s “baby” may be more akin to a dragon champions making more – same with the Crystal Guardians and Crystal Spiders of her lair in GW1.

There is a racial sympathy mission where you help the Skritt kill a Destroyer Crab Queen though. But I suppose being minions comprised entirely out of flame and molten rock, it’s not really “pregnant”; more likely Primordus just granted it the ability to spawn additional minions under its own power.
That has been brought up many times and it is in fact in that very mission in which the notion of only creatures whom are pregnant before corruption can lay eggs/give birth. Though the Destroyer Queen was not once a Living being – we were told by Jeff, Ree, and Scott that we have not seen any creatures corrupted by Primordus even though he is capable of such – at least, none which is pointed out as such.

As I’ve said a few times before, that was based on the information they had at the time. It’s not necessarily true, just that at that point in the storyline, no dragon minions were known to reproduce.
However, we haven’t pushed very deep into the territories of any dragon except Zhaitan – there could well be minions whose purpose is to produce new minions, we just don’t see them on the front lines.

“producing new minions” is not the same as “giving live birth as a Dragon minion”. There are a lot of cases where we see minions with the primary or sole purpose of producing new minions (there is one such case in Straits of Devastation, and the Destroyer Queen and Great Destroyer were both this as well). But none of them get pregnant and give birth all while being a Dragon minion – which means having all organs turned into some element (or just rotten through).
How can something that is 100% crystal, ice, or fire “become pregnant”?

Are Mordy’s minions made of crystal, Ice, or fire? Most likely not. Mordy’s champions may be able to reproduce.
To be fair, plants don’t become pregnant either.
I find this whole point kind of moot, to be honest. Dragon minions can reproduce, or replicate if you prefer, we know that much. Does it really matter if it’s done sexually? Is it worth arguing over?

Glint definitely doesn’t look like she’s 100% crystal; in fact, she looks almost entirely organic with a few crystalline additions.
We don’t know what Mordremoth’s minions will be made out of, yet. All the “examples” of minions we see… are pre-existing creatures.
@Aaron: It’s kind of the point. “Replicating” – or more accurately, “creating new minions” – is vastly different from reproduction. And it really defines what exactly that “baby” and the eggs are/were.
It is vastly more important if the baby was from Glint being impregnated before corruption – signifying that there was, indeed like some theorize, a dragon race – or if she’s just making a run of the mill dragon champion like she could make any other dragon minion (but it’s a champion instead of a typical minion). Basically, is it like the Crystal Guardians/Spiders, or is it different?
That difference really is important, at least in my view, as it signifies a lot in terms of lore.
It’s really different to say “this dragon-shaped minion was created in Glint’s image” versus “this dragon-shaped minion was the corrupted fetus of a dragon that hatched and grew”.
@Excelliate:
Warden Illyra: Yes. Yes! Look at these runes. The Forgotten were able to remove Kralkatorrik’s control over Glint.
Warden Illyra: Glint remained in crystalline form, but she regained her free will and identity.
From Arah explorable, Forgotten path. Says she was made of crystal. Most of the Branded actually look like a lair of skin with their insides being solid crystal, which would fit Glint’s appearance too – skin with crystal underneath. Basically the opposite of the icebrood which turns the skin and blood to ice and later the muscle and other tissues except bone.

Having a crystalline form doesn’t necessarily mean she’s solid crystal like the other branded. Anyway, we don’t know how accurate the assumption that only pregnant corrupted creatures can give birth is. There’s a great many branded devourer hatchlings running around, and even some eggs if I remember right.

Isn’t that kind of like saying chickens can’t get pregnant?

That was pretty much my point. Dragon minions reproduce; sniping over terms like ‘pregnant’ is pedantic. Konig’s right, though; in this specific case it has repercussions beyond dragon minions, to the extent of potentially confirming a whole new race.
