So back in GW1, there were those strange pedestals scattered around the Maguuma Jungle. With HoT, it has come to my attention that these may be related to the Exalted. So apparently they were created 200years or so ago, contrary to what we were told in the blog post (300yrs), so I’m not sure if there is even a connection between the two.
The dragon rune on it really leads me to believe they are.

Just want to read an expert’s opinion on those.

I can tell you for certain that at the point in time of the creation of these symbols, absolutely no one at Anet was thinking about a future connection to the Exalted. They hadn’t even made up the Elder Dragons yet, at this point even Abaddon was probably at most a vague idea (yes I know there is Abaddon’s Mouth, but honestly that was just a cool hell-ish sounding name).

In the other direction, Anet may have been gone back and look at these, but I doubt it. They would have made it more obvious, for example by making these symbols the images for the Exalted Lore mastery line or something like this.

You don’t win friends with salad! Sorry I just got caught up in the rhythm.

it’s more likely they are related to the druids, some similar symbols appear in an event in Auric Basin as druid markings
