So I have been eyeing this place in lions arch long before scarlet destroyed the place, and I wasn’t surprised that scarlet had an interest in this place during her siege.

Her forces put a force field around this building in lions archs, which lead to me doing a photoshop cut and paste screenshots peeping through the locked doors of this building.

Inside this building is a elaborate painting of a dragon.

Can you tell me what kind of dragon this is? It is not Glint. This dragon appears to be serpent like with wings. I do not see a body nor 4 legs. It’s most likely a huge waterborne dragon.

Firstly, Scarlet’s alliances didn’t set up that barrier. That is the defense system of a Priory associate who studies on highly magical entities (such as the Elder Dragons). Players witness the defenses from the inside during On Red Alert.

That said, the mural closely resembles the Canthan Saltspray Dragons – or a Forgotten, which is not a dragon but an upright serpentine race. If that is indeed a dragon. It would be odd for ArenaNet to use unique resources here and there is no dragon stain painting like that which I know of. While looking at a small version of the image it certainly does feel like a typical european dragon motif, when looking at the larger version, not so. Would like to see other uses of that.

You can get inside the house with mesmer/necro teleport trickery… but yes, it’s the house of Maeva, a friend of the priory.

That dragon painting actually isn’t unique to the place. There’s one in CM, iirc, and maybe another somewhere in DR. I suspect it’s just another case of ANet using concept art as in-game decorations.

Yeah i have seen that dragon before, thinking it was a hint to Cantha.
However since this is researcher house, i do not believe there is much behind that, beside some left over artwork
