In all seriousness it seems to hint strongly that they’re a romantic couple, even sharing a kiss in this latest content. People keep telling me though that they’re just friends and there is no gay couple in Guild Wars 2.

I wanted to ask to make sure I’m not crazy haha, aren’t they a romantic couple?

They’re a couple. It’s been confirmed both in-game and by Angel McCoy in a livestream.

Yes it was confirmed they’re a couple during the Edge of the Mists patch I believe. There’s even a house with both their names on it in Divinity’s Reach

There are many other gay couples in GW2 (the most prominent being, apart from Kas and Jory here, Caithe and Faolain).

Well, unless you play on the Chinese client, it seems.

They are either not playing the same part of the game (i.e., ignoring the Living story content), or are applying double standards. If this were male/female pairing would they question the veracity of their relationship? What hoops do these characters have to jump through to make it more explicit?

The instance of the last LS update once you, kill scarlet you’ll see a cutscene that basically answers your question.
