Most of the Ascended items have some sort of a Lore backdrop (which is awesome), but I noticed most seem to be from Tyria and Cantha, with very few from Elona. I was wondering why?

Cantha really doesn’t have that much of a leg up on Elona. Maybe twice as many, which is still insignificant when the Tyrian ones make up 90% of the pool.

The vast majority are just of relevance to the continent we’re on. There’s nothing more to it.

I’d go with what Aaron says. If we ever get Cantha or Elona – something that looks eternally more distant as we go on, to me – then we can expect a lot more items from those places.

Dear ANet writers,
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

Yeah, makes sense. Just seems like the Elona ascended items are more from desolation/realm of torment then anywhere else (besides the Ossa family ring), while the Canthan items have more diversity in where they came from. Was hoping for something Istani related to my Elonian descended characters :P.

Hopefully as you say, we see more added as we reach new areas.

Keep in mind there weren’t very many Elonian armors to begin with in GW1, and of those that were, about half of them came from the regions you listed (at least for the “Epic” armors), also Tyria had more contact with Cantha than Elona so it only makes sense they’d have more Cantha stuff…

They sing dark, delicious notes about power and family.
