Wooden potatoes is good, but it’s an opinion most of the time.
If you want summaries of lore and information it’s best to delve into the GW2 wiki, or even the GW1 wiki.

The wiki for GW2 even has a timeline.

Wiki is mostly well kept (some of the Living Story content is a bit thin), GW1 wiki seems well maintained (obviously players have had far more time to do so), so it’s a good source of lore, although some things have been a bit retconned between GW1 and GW2.

The Movement of the World isn’t so great a resource anymore since, like History of Tyria (which was basically the same thing but for the very first GW game, Prophecies), it has been altered a bit since its making and release – mainly in terms of dates or specific terms, but a couple other things too.

Some easy to spot reworks since 2007 are the dates for Ventari’s death and sylvari birth being far closer in the Movement (saying sylvari were around for over a century, iirc); Jormag and Zhaitan (neither never named) having their order of rising switched (originally the order was Primordus → Zhaitan → Jormag but has since become Primordus → Jormag → Zhaitan); and the Krytan Ministry having been called “senators” originally; and of course, the DSD’s sphere of influence is far smaller than implied in the Movement.

In general it’s still reliable. And the explanation for its invalidity in some places is that it’s an in-universe document that got peer edited by other Priory scholars and not just the original writer, so there are actually multiple versions of the MOvement in-universe (some of which don’t even mention the DSD).

Dear ANet writers,
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
