I’ve seen this claimed in some places already, but still can’t find any source backing it up.
Bangar Ruinbringer, imperator of the Blood Legion, is said to be supporting the Renegades, the charr rebels fighting against the peace treaty with the humans.
Any ideas on if this is true or not? It may be hinted in one of those slippery dialogues you don’t even know exist.
To the best of my knowledge, anyway, it’s just an inference. One of those pre-release articles said the only reason Blood plays nice with the others in Ascalon is because Bangar hates the humans even more than he mistrusts the other legions. More of a “what-if” thought process for potential future stories. Personally, I don’t buy into it, simply on account of the Renegades’ pitiful size, but it would be interesting if it were true.
He can do it by various reasons, but only indirectly, because Iron and Ash will be really angry if they find out.
Bangar is the true wild card, distrustful and prone to rage. Still, his hatred for humans overcomes his suspicions about the other imperators, and he has committed a great number of troops to the Black Citadel’s command.

This is pretty much where the fan-made inference comes from. Bangar hates humans and is the only imperator who’s not for the treaty. It seems that he only goes along with it, more or less, to avoid war with the other two imperators.
Other than this, it really isn’t hinted upon. But his hatred of humans being stronger than his mistrust of the other imperators does say to me he’s probably not too happy about the peace talks.
Pssst… Hey, Rytlock? You ever wanted to be Imperator? You have my sword if you do. Just sayin’.
I would enjoy watching the Charr war machine turn on itself.
I certainly hope he supports the renegades for this reason.
A Charr Civil War.
This is a Living story worth writing. More so than Scarlet.
