I would like to know if there is some more info about this character we come across in the event in Iron Marches…more than what Wiki and the NPC there says, that is!
Found it rather interesting how she managed to “break” the curse not to be just like every other post-Foefire Ascalonian ghost…
Some links about her, (if existing) would be much appreciated!

There was no Necromancer Bria that I could remember from GW1, nor is there anything that I can find from a quick GW1 Wiki search.

All I’ve ever seen is basically what the NPCs during, after, and before the events say.

She’s a powerful and evil Necromancer who was alive during the Foefire – a criminal even then – who somehow managed to break the curse due to being a powerful necromancer. As seen from the event, and the heart nearby, she enjoys killing innocents and using their souls, and bodies, for her own means – allowing spiritual procession of the bodies by the shades she controls after she separates their souls from them.

Her history is pretty much blank. However, she is an incredibly interesting subject, simply for what she can do – and in turn proves can be done in the world. Spiritual possession, forced outer body experiences, breaking the Foefire’s curse (well, the mental side of it), etc.

Dear ANet writers,
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

Skill in necromancy does seem to be a common factor in remaining relatively aware of the present despite being a Foefire ghost – of the champions in Ascalon Catacombs story, for instance, Kasha seemed to be the most sane and may not have been leading up to initiating combat before Rytlock butted in.

To those who think Scarlet hate means she’s succeeded as a villain:
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.

Well, to some degree, it makes sense that people who spend their lives with such a deep connection to death and the afterlife would have some sort of control over their own afterlife. Not all obviously, it would take someone of immense strength to break a curse with their sheer will, but still it is interesting. One has to wonder if a ghost like Bria will end up still haunting the area after the Foefire curse is lifted…
