So. From what I understand of the Dream, each individual Sylvari’s memories are basically added to the “pool” of possible knowledge that newborn Sylvari will have access too. From this line of thinking, it would seem to me that there is a possibility that any secret told to one specific Sylvari could then be passed on to any newly awakened Sylvari (and to the Pale Tree). Can someone help explain this to me, or am I correct in thinking this?

Well, considering individual Sylvari doesn’t know every specific thing about Tyria from their emergence I’d say they can, but the Pale Tree would know everything from my understanding (as she is the source of all the collective memories/experiences.)

Bit off topic…The Order of Whispers might wanna do a purge of sorts…

As I understood it once a Sylvari enters the world the link to the pale tree is more about emotions, rather than actual concrete memory. From what Ive read its pretty easy for an indiviual Sylvari to have secrets.

they seem to be very honest by nature. they don’t seem to quite get the concept of a lie and are known for their absolute sincerity. I think they could keep a secret as long as no one asked them about it.

Their memories and experiences move into the dream, but once a sylvari awakens they only remember the most important parts of their dream, such as the white stag and the dragon in my specific sylvari’s dream.

Sylvari seem to be able to sense the presence of other Sylvari too. There are frequent references by Sylvari who encountered a Soundless and were shaken by the fact that they could “feel” nothing from them. This implies that while Sylvari do not possess telepathy or the ability to read each other’s thoughts, they CAN sense general emotions from each other, or at least the emotional presence of another Sylvari.
