Siblings

No evidence for it but im calling it now. There’s something more between these two characters.

Thoughts?

Technically, all the Sylvari are siblings…

Canach is mostly noted as a secondborn though. If Ceara was one as well, which I very much doubt, I would think they would have labeled her as one by now.

I don’t think so. Canach is misguided but his intentions have always been good.
Also he has some dialogue about Scarlet in the prison cell at the moment I think – which suggests he knew of her but doesn’t really knowww her.

Definitely no place for being twins. Secondborn or later-born is not hipster enough. Solution: Scarlet will turn out to be the 13th, secret firstborn super-child of the Pale Tree. What would you expect from such a pathetic hag of Villain Sue who’s “incidentally” a writer’s wub’ed pet?

Which is impossible, since the Grove was already up and functioning when she awoke. Not to mention, she was met by a mender right when she left her pod, and she studied engineering in the Grove as well. That would imply there were another Sylvari there that knew enough to teach the subject.

That would rule out First and Secondborn, and it could possibly rule out Third and Fourthborn as well.

Or the Pale Tree altered her perception of time and reality, making her believe she was born much later in hopes of toning down her self-destructive, megalomaniac mentality. :P

the info we got from canach is that he briefly met her, but didn’t like her attitude so he went on with his life.

so even if you disregard the problem with calling two sylvaris “siblings”, they didn’t really spend much time together.

The oldest Ceara is likely to be is among the last of the Secondborn, but that’s still relatively unlikely. She may be amongst the oldest of the Thirdborn (my own fanon term for all sylvari born after the Secondborn, given that there’s only First- and Secondborn, no other generations have titles given the continuous flow of newborn sylvari).

As for Canach/Ceara being closer than other sylvari – what Bruno said.
