Change the mission order back
Yeah… they really screwed that one up. Don’t forget some people die and next mission there they are lol. This is what happens when you randomly switch the order of a story but don’t edit it to make it work/fit. Imagine if Frodo destroyed the ring of power by dropping it in mount doom, then the next chapter gandalf was sending him on his quest to destroy the ring, you would be like… ???
I agree with you there. I got a level 80 engineer waiting for her story to be progressed properly.
Source of Orr was the perfect penultimate mission, gameplay wise and story wise. Putting the order mission second to last makes no sense.
They stated a few weeks back there will be some changes reverted back in the mission sequence, but that it was a time consuming job and there was no time frame for completion

That can only mean that they’re not going to put it back as they should do, all the parts in the correct order, as that’s the easiest of all the things they could have done.

Apparently it isn’t easy to fix the issue, although it is unclear whether the fix involves reverting it or cleaning it up to make more sense.

Technically all they said is that they are working on fixing the issue. They never said the word “revert” in any variation, synonym, or synonym’s variation.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

A strangely pedantic reply, but in order to appease, I have edited my post accordingly

Not at all pedantic. It means they’re just as likely to change it more to fit the new sequence as they are to change it back. Depending on how they go it, we could conceivably see a “fix” that just removes all the characters that die before hand, leaving the end of the PS not only lengthy but dull, or else make it so that no one dies- not something I’m necessarily opposed to, but again, it’d rob a lot of the quests of what was built to be their primary impact.
Worst-case scenarios, sure, but as the saying goes, it seems nothing’s off the table.
Yeah. While I still hope that Leah Hoyer and her team will look at reintroducing the cut out chapters (seriously, it’s such a waste of voice acting and existing content!), I don’t want to get my hopes up too high.
