Where did the portal in Fractals of the Mists go originally before the Consortium connected to it.

It was supposed to go to Southsun I believe, but something went wrong and it connected to the Fractals instead.

You got what’s being asked backwards Lordkrall, the asura gate in Lion’s Arch is what was meant to go to Southsun (what you said) – the one in Fractals of the Mists (the one being asked about) original destination is unknown. Dessa believes that the gate isn’t even active (it’s a case of self-denial; she’s under the impression that if she leaves that little lab, she’ll never be able to return there so she acts under the pretense of being trapped).

thaumanova, maybe? it’s the only asura/mists major incident i can think of. the explosion could’ve destroyed the tyrian side of the gate, trapping dessa there.
