Day/Night cycle?
I heard that it’s an hour and fifteen minutes day, 45 minutes night

This seems about right based on what I’ve seen hanging around in Queensdale for 8 hours today.

A day/night cycle is present in the game. Day lasts for 70 minutes, night for 40 minutes and the transitions between the two take 5 minutes each, comprising a 2-hour cycle. A number of mechanics can be linked to this cycle, including events, NPCs, and equipment effects.
^ been looking for that answer for a while, thanks.
still think they should balance day and night more >.>
The reasoning is that people don’t like the nighttime or something, it’s a bit stale and in real life we don’t have half/half day and night (for the majority of the year)
In real life it depends on where you live, the closer to the equator you are the closer you get to equal amounts of daylight and darkness.
But I agree with not liking the night so much. I always hated it in Oblivion when I somehow always seemed to emerge from a cave at about 5am, go into town, spend a few hours hanging around waiting for the shops to open, then head back out and spend all day in another cave. I felt like I never really got to appreciate the scenery except when I was doing that quest that has you going backwards and forwards to Anvil about 5 times. Fortunately I don’t seem to spend so much time in caves in Skyrim, or GW2 for that matter, but I definately think this is a good approach.

i’m not asking for a 50/50 thing, just something more balanced. there’s way too many day for way too little night, as a result, you barely see night time.
