Not sure if it’s been mentioned already or not, but I bet that zone in Dredgehaunt Cliffs was named after their Art Director Daniel Dociu.

There are loads of instances like that. You’ll see hundreds of NPC’s with ArenaNet team names. Heck in GW1 they had the same thing, they even named challenge missions after prominent guilds from the Alpha or Beta (can’t remember which) (Zos Shivros Channel = Zealots of the Shiverpeaks)
