Guild Wars 2

I have been playing Guild Wars 2 since the HoT expansion came out and while the minor races, such as the Hylek, the Kodan, the Skritt, and the Centaurs interest me, I find the Dwarfs to be somewhat of an enigma. Maybe this is because they died out after battling the destroyers, maybe this is because what they had, the Dredge destroyed or repurposed. Apart from what is listed on the Wiki, which the prehistory is vague at best, we don’t know much about their culture apart from their government and religion. Maybe I am reading too much into the lore, but I would like to learn more about them.

Playing Guild Wars 1 would be your best bet- they were still a thriving, vital culture back in that game, and you might pick things up wondering around their areas or hanging out with Ogden. Here are the best wiki pages from that game, although as is always the case with cultural questions you won’t get nearly as much from the wiki as you would from the game.

Specifically Prophecies and Eye of the North, which coincidentally are the two campaigns that take place in the continent of Tyria and are thus most relevant to GW2 anyway.

That’s definitely true. You would be best off playing GW1 and watching WP’s lore series (should have something on the Dwarves). Not sure if Deroir has something on them, but he probably does.
