Elder Dragons Secretly on Map?
Nice trolling (at least I’m pretty sure you’re trolling with this… If I’m wrong, apologies but it’s just that far out of the box). But the ED are big, just not THAT big… And more than a head.
This is something called Apophenia – that is, seeing images out of random patterns that aren’t really there.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
Haha, no I’m not trying to troll. I really don’t mean that they are the literal dragons themselves – Just little hints as to where they could be located in the future, or ‘easter eggs’ ANet added for fun.
I’m still going to call Apophenia on this, just like how the lake in northern Maguuma looked like a face (did until they painterly-stylized the map), and such. I don’t really see parts being more detailed as hinting as “we’ll go there” – chances are that Anet’ll just do the same thing as they’ve done with Southsun and Labyrinthine Cliffs when new areas get added – alter that portion of the map. I mean, if you really look at it, the uncovered map is highly undetailed and not exactly higher quality.

Though, we will eventually be in each of those places some day! The dragons nest there anyways (and other major plots, such as Malyck’s tree) – I am just a very artistic individual, I happen to notice visual things I’d perceive as a hint towards the future, these stood out (even more knowing ANet and their cunning)!
Technically: we don’t know where Mordremoth (aka Jungle Dragon) or Kralkatorrik are. Same with Primordus and the DSD.
Mordremoth is hinted at being in the Maguuma Jungle, but there’s always off the western edge of the map as well as in the Maguuma Wastes or Magus Falls.
Kralkatorrik flew off in some unknown direction after his fight with Glint and Destiny’s Edge, and hasn’t been heard from in lore since. He may no longer be in the Crystal Desert.
Primordus is said to have been clearing tracks of land underground, so he could quite literally be anywhere – even Cantha!
The DSD is only known to have been hinted at having awakened in the deepest parts of the Unending Ocean, with influence in that location. The world of Tyria is big and he could be in any body of water by now, though given the karka he’s likely still south of Tyria. Or west and the karka decided to skirt around the Maguuma Jungle for some reason (or at least those karka, who knows if karka surfaced elsewhere!).
The only dragon we really know the location of is Jormag, and that’s just “north of the Northern Shiverpeaks”.

i see a horse where you see a dragon in maguuma, and i can see a bear on that same picture too. i doubt we’ll fight elder bears though.
look up the rorschach test. that’s pretty much what’s happening.
@Konig
I’d say for Mordremoth: Slightly more than hinted – as Colin specifically called it the ‘Jungle Dragon’, and mentions the Maguuma Jungle itself.
But for Kralkatorrik, that is right. Though the GW2 Wiki does say it ‘still has a presence in the area’. Also stating that it’s now another force preventing all (but the OoW) from getting to Cantha. So I think its probably still in the desert somewhere (whether it be Elona or far south-eastern Tyria)!
Primordus is really an unknown though. I believe around the Deldrimor area though, due to dwarven capitol & relics being quite powerful and magic-filled, there – And maybe even to help its army to finally advance past the stone dwarves, if he is ready to surface (pure speculation there, though)?
As for DSD, true. I don’t expect he will be the easiest dragon to find! Though true, he is most likely in a south-western part of the Unending Ocean as the karka, krait (etc.) how been driven out from those parts.
Lastly, agreed, Jormag is up there somewhere in the northern reaches of the Shiverpeaks!
@Bruno
Agreed, could very well be that :p! But I just happened to find it suspicious that in all the anticipated spots for the elder dragons that there happened to be some oddly placed, dragon-resembling paint blotches.
those things are usually done by spamming splatter assets in the general shape and color you want, so i’m pretty sure it’s just a coincidence :P
on a completely unrelated subject, are you the same johnny boi that used to command on WvW for FA?
No, I’m on Tarnished Coast

Never heard of the term “red herring” have you? Could be he just meant that there’s influence there, and it is through that influence that we’ll first get solid hearing of him, not that the dragon himself is there.
Given Anet, I wouldn’t doubt such a thing.

Elder Bears, oh god!
Those bear events in Queensdale and Wayfarer I guess were minions of the Elder Bears afterall, not normal bears.
God, I kind of wish it was Elder Bears instead of Elder Dragons now xD I mean, jesus, it’s like herds of bears that you fight in those events.

The thing about artists is that they have “vision”. That’s a good thing. Sometimes it’s on the mark sometimes it isn’t. Good catch, thanks for sharing this theory. Time will tell if you are a mad genius or a tin-foil wearing hobo :P
