Guild Wars 2

I’m creating this topic to discuss about what we as a community would like to see to conclude the story of GW2.

Personally, I have a few ideas of what would be the most ideal conclusion to conclude GW2. so this is my idea:

we fight the dragons and kill them, or at least, we THINK we do, but in actual fact, we don’t. After all, arent the dragons supposed to be these super-powerful beings? IMO, it should be really,really hard to kill them. So what we actually do is to just hit them hard and push them back into hibernation so that they have to go into hibernation to recover.

But when we’re on the brink of defeating the last dragon, that last dragon merges with the other dragons to form one huge kitten and powerful dragon that is impossible for us to kill. And at that time, the six gods come back to lend Tyria their power (it cant be a coincidence that there are six gods and six dragons, they must be connected somehow).

The six gods merge, and form one powerful entity, and we as the heroes of Tyria, lend fight side by side with the gods and defeat the threat of the dragons once and for all. Now since the dragons are powerful, we may not even defeat the dragons but just transport the dragons into the Mist and send them to another world and banish them from Tyria forever.

This of course is just speculation and my idea of what i think the final act of GW2 should and could be.

Meh, dont think so.
I think the dragons are just some regulation mechanism for something.
They are power in some way.
Someone will take that power and he/she will be our final boss, as everything that has happened was her/his plan.

Power can corrupt you know and ED-Power has shown that very clearly.

Someone has been stringing us along all along.
Heck, it could even be Glint and her prophcy (there are reasons why this could be possible)
Or just some demon from another plane.

Super Elder Dragon created from all Elder Dragons and Super Entity created from gods sounds like Power Rangers :P Gods propably have own problem with Dhuum and they are beings of magic and ED consume magic. Truly there is 9 “human” gods. Dhuum, Menzin and Lyssa is two sisters. We killed Zhaitan and Mordremoth. But… they power could remain. Propably Sunless absorbed power from Zhaitan and in the future he will be new Elder Dragon. Just as Glint could change into ED if she had only more time.

With all due respect danielrazor but that sounds like a horrible ending. First of because it is too final. Second of, because that is just.. silly.

What I would want and what fits quite neatly in the story, is that we kill all Elder Dragons but now magic levels rise to an unsustainable level (because the Elder Dragons now longer absorb it and the magic they already absorbed flows back into the world), making the world and all of it’s inhabitants so magical that there is a real risk of everything turning to chaos and war (like what happened when the gods opened up the magic from the bloodstones). The story of GW2 ends at that point. However, with that, there is room for novels or games (online or otherwise) that take place afterwards.

That sounds more like how an anime for 12 year olds would end, then a satisfying conclusion for this story.
