Glint's Egg is breaking/hatching(?)

Why not now? Fateful beings tend to know when things should happen, even if they’re not hatched yet.
There’s also the view that nobody can do anything in this Story without the player character present (especially Rox, Braham, Tiami, Kasmeer, Jory), so the egg probably needs us to arrive and then it can hatch.

I don’t know if it’s breaking apart… there definitely looks to be two layers to it, but both are still in an egg shape, and the Master of Peace appears to be able to hold it from the bottom without difficulty.
Edit: It does look to be larger than before, though… hm.
As for why it would be happening now, I can think of two reasons. First, that whatever was keeping it in stasis was destroyed with the ship bearing it, or maybe just that whatever’s happening is what spurred the Zephyrites to head west in the first place.

As for its size, it could be possible, now that it’s out of stasis, that the baby is absorbing magic even through its shell. It will just continue on growing at this point, and it will get harder and harder to protect with its size.
It hatching now however, I would have to just go with the general “because the plot demands it!” until we get a bit more info.
I also noticed that when i saw the image.
I don’t know what requirements would need to be met for a dragon egg to hatch but could the absorbing of magic be how it hatches?
I know some people have said that the master of peace is trying to get to the bloodstone and maybe get the dragon to feed of its magic or something along those lines, so maybe the closer he gets the more rapid its feeding off the magic and hatching. <- very loose idea
Pertaining to the quote in the image i think that the egg itself isn’t in danger but that the egg will hatch soon and because of this it will be harder to hide or protect from mordremoth, i mean he can’t wiz around with a new born dragon on his back like he did when we last saw him alive in game.
Although just because it’s obvious he is getting deeper in the maguuma and perhaps closer to mordy doesn’t mean that could’nt be what the quote is talking about. I just wanted to put a twist on the situation a bit.
It’s also possible that the Master of Peace will meet his end. He’s surrounded by Mordrem vines in the picture, and the teaser has us going deep in Mordrem vine territory.
And we all know how Anet loves to kill off characters just as they’re beginning to get interesting. Or before they can begin to get interesting.

based on the quote, i’m thinking maybe we have to start protecting the egg, maybe MoP will die like konig said, and we inherit the job of keeping the egg safe until it hatches? idk, wild theory, i for one would kinda like to become the custodian of a dragon egg. glowy dragon egg-holding backpack anyone? :P
If the baby dragon is only hatching now, it might be too late for it to make any difference. I don’t know how fast a baby dragon grows, but I imagine it will be at least 10 years.
I remember in GW1 how helpless a baby dragon is.
I am hoping the dragon hatched a while ago.

Maybe the Master of Peace brought it to a place with a lot of magic, which would let it hatch? Perhaps the only reason Glint’s children hatched in the past was because she fed them magic somehow.

Can confirm. Died and all I could think was “Ok, too bad for him, what’s next?”
