God's Eye in Fireheart Rise
given the nature of the asura, it could simply be some random artifact that they discarded.
I don’t really have any present idea what it could be.
I guess what I find interesting about it is the gash in the ground and the crater the broken orb is partially buried in. It looks like whatever it is/was was move north to south, but there isn’t any thing north of there that can be seen that would have launched it.
I found a device much like that somwhere… now I can’t remember where though – I think in Orr? Not sure. But there was no lore on it either.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
Interestingly, there is a god’s hand and god’s skull not faraway.
God’s Hand is just a group of large trees, and God’s Skull is a cliff with a face chiseled out of it (doesn’t look natural to me from my memory).

There is an identical artifact in metrica province though slightly more intact, it is radiating some sort of corruption. Located in the skritt caves south of the reactor.
More than likely the names of these areas are just used to showcase the Grawl’s extreme religiousness.
Well, it is known that Grawls worship a “god” that is in fact an Asura that speaks with a voice-amplifiying device (The Mighty Oooh). And since there are 3 Grawl villages near those Points of Interest, I wouldn’t be surprised if those are some stuff that used to belong to that Asura. Maybe the “eye” was a telescope the Asura used to stalk on the Grawls while confortably hidden in his Cave in a mountain.
