If there is any connection between Grenth and Order of Whispers? If you talk to some NPC from this order you will hear “May Grenth shield you.” Thay don’t talk anything about any other god. Even Kormir (her first followers were members of Whispers). So why Grenth?

The explanation ist simple: The Order of Whispers obviously relies on stealth, and Grenth is the patron god of darkness an assassins. Similarly, all Seraph will greet you with “May Balthazar strengthen you.” since they are the Krytan army, and soldiers pray to the god of war – eventhough the Seraph armor style was inspired by Dwayna.

Ye, but stealth is form od denial magic which is connected to Lyssa not Grenth,

What does it matter? People revere gods based on which attributes und values they represent.

Actually, the guild wars factions manual states both Lyssa and Grenth are patron gods of assassins.

If Grenth himself is shielding you, you can’t die. Cause he is Death, and if Death is protecting you… what else is there to kill you? That’s at least how I understood it.

Grenth is not death itself, he just represent the concept of death. Grenth is Judge of the dead souls, and he decide where they will go in the mist.

So, as far as Grenth is concerned you can die at any moment, its just that after you are death Grenth will decide what to do with your soul, based on what you did in life.

I think that “Grenth shield you” line is probably just a generic human line.

But you can hear this line from Norn or even Asura members of Order. Maybe he is some kind patron god of this order…

I have never come across any non-human members of the Order that speak this line. Generic lines for Whispers Agents are listed at the bottom of this article:

This is obviously just an oversight. Look at the other lines – rhey are an exact copy of the human ones.

Grenth is very important for assassins. Basically assassins prayed to Grenth and offered him the name of their target. Grenth gave them the green or red light. If grenth didn’t want that person to die, no assassin would ever touch that target no matter how much money the others offered them. This is why Grenth is so important.
