Guardians Magic.
Who ever said that it is holy magic?? If it comes to explaining true powers of Gods ofTyria I have to be carefull cause the only way to explain it is real life religion. I am religious in real life in a way that I believe in a higher entity that is supporting and guiding me in life in a way it is guiding others. The name of that entity is of no importance to me. A muslim as much a human being as a christian. I do know there are some people claiming to have super powers cause of a god. I do not believe that. I do believe that they can do extraordinary things, but not cause of a God.
I think that this thin line of understanding the difference between believing in something and reality also exist in Tyria. So the Guardian magic comes, like all magic, from one of the bloodstones and therefor one of the schools of magic. In case of the Guardian it is very likely the School of preservation.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Guardian magic is a result of the School of Preservation, yes; it’s fueled by strong faith in something. Friends and family, a cause, your leader, yourself—anyone can be a guardian under these terms.
As was said, the magic used by Guardians is no different in terms of source than the other schools of magic. As a class, Guardians are motivated by a ‘Will to Protect’, but this is not necessary the will to protect others. ANet points out examples such as a human Guardian protecting their nation, or a charr Guardian protecting their warband, or a norn Guardian protecting their legend, or an asura Guardian protecting themselves; that sort of thing.
To be a Guardian, you basically need a strong will and a desire to preserve or protect something. But this doesn’t make every Guardian a good guy.
And a man who trusts no one is a fool.
We are all fools, if we live long enough.”

Pretty much this.
Guardian Magic comes from the school of Preservation (or rather, I should say, suspected to – the only profession who’s school of magic is confirmed is Elementalist, who use Destruction magic), and those who are guardians have strong faith in something. For charr, it’s usually faith in their warband or legion, for humans it’s in the Six Gods. There’s a Nightmare Court sylvari guardian who’s faith is in the Nightmare.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
Thanks for answers guys.
Well, it focuses on the Virtues.
And the meditations and consecrations.
I kind of get the impression it’s the result of willpower and a life of contemplation of the Virtues and an active life of living them.

Well, the Guardian Virtues are ‘Courage’, ‘Justice’, and ‘Resolve’. Courage and Resolve can obviously be present in evil people just as easily as in good people. And Justice is open to a looot of interpretation.
Notably, ‘Mercy’ is not one of the virtues.
And a man who trusts no one is a fool.

Actually from GW1 we know that Mesmers are Denial, Necros are aggression.
