So, I was wondering, with talk of “removing the ghosts from ascalon” by Rytlock or someone of royal blood with magdear.
Could this even happen? yeah, lore wise it could. but it cant gamewise.
But the Charr starting area would have to be fundamentally reworked, which would completely change the game and remove content for people starting new after.

Same with Orr, It basically exists in a pre Zaitan death state, so every map is time locked. more or less and the only way to advance forward in time, is to move to other maps, IE dry top/SW occur after orr.

But then Living story gets mixed in, flame and frost for example changes wayfarers and diessa, so these maps are moving forward in time. As are many others.

Now as you level a character, you have not even been to orr yet, but you have stood on the ruined machinery of scarlet.. IE Morde and Zaitan are awake simultaneously.

So basically the game is getting very confused time-wise. I suppose I’m wondering about how much effect the dragons can really have on the current world, they cant have too much of an effect, without messing up the leveling process, or being on different maps. Except Lions arch. We are on what the 8th iteration of that map? all of the others lost to time.

Maybe the personal story could exist in a ‘pre-searing’ type mega-instance, and once it’s completed, the character could enter (reverb) the Living World (/reverb) which could reflect any world-changing changes that happen to happen.

The table is a fable.

Actually, as long as that “pre searing map” is still accessible.. it may work might even make the living map an 80 zone, with minimal work required by devs :P

Yes.
It is actually part of the lore. It`s all in the mists.
Who do you think we fight in WvW? Other server, or in that case, other Tyria. Other dimensions, etc.
Call it what you want.

Essentialy the mists are the writers free for all card so far, because the mists are everything in past, future and now.
If we put the fractals into equasion we even got timetravel, multiple dimensions and quanten into the mix.

However, in reality this is just a game and these are the limits of world building.
