“Kitten”

Here are some minced oaths I can remember from the top of my head:

Charr
“Burn it all!”
“Oh, slag…”
“Cinders!”

Human
“By the Six!”

Sylvari
“By the Tree!”

Asura
“Oh, crackle and spit”
“Devourers take you!”

Norn
“By Bear’s hairy backside!”

Ok, I’m sure I made a couple of those up, but there’s enough inside to help stir your creativity in regards to Tyrian cussword vocabulary. XD

This is a fan-made compilation of curses, idioms, proverbs, etc. made for roleplayers by roleplayers.

Norn also utter “Yak spit!” as Braham proves.

Though he may have been talking about his hairstyle.

Prince Rurik swore a good bit, mostly involving the human gods. “By Balthazar’s beard!” sort of stuff.

Reading through the dialogue from his missions might give you some ideas.

I personally like ‘balthazar-blasted’.

My favorite is: By Dwayna’s hairy back!

Basically anything involving gods my character does not approve of, such as Dwayna and Lyssa, are fair game. I also often involve mesmers and Norgu specifically in curses. And Dolyaks are fun to use for cursing too.

Curses involving Dwayna and Lyssa are appropriate for necromancers, if your necromancer happens to have a dislike for those deities. My necromancer has a hatred of mesmers on top of that, lending itself for some very creative curses.

Dolyaks can easily be used in curses by characters of any race or class. And so can devourers, trolls and ettins. I try to use creatures that are quite specific to Tyria, and have less than admirable traits. Dolyaks, are slow, heavy and not that bright. Devourers are disgusting, poisonous and annoying. Ettins are really dumb, and violent as well. That makes them perfect for a Tyrian curse.

Want to upset an asura?

Tell them they snaffed up.

My favourite line has to be: “a cleaved head (should be cloven?) no longer plots.”

It’s exceptionally clever. ^.^

well I know there is few lines of Charr in the brand towers there basicly compareing or talking about scars of battle and then male one goes “wanna compare?” in a flirty goofy pervy fashion. and the female shouts “GO CHASE YOUR TAIL!” with roar animation lol
