Following that logic, the Pale Tree cant be Dragon Champion, right?

I think that maybe the druids have a hand in it. That would at least explain the elite skill of the sylvari and why Malyck is not evil.
But this is more a gut feeling rather than anything supported.

I am fully of the opinion that the Pale Tree is not, and never will be, a Dragon Champion.
