When will we see the charr imperator ? What will his stance on the peace treaty be? Will we see a change in the imperators like that one NPC outside the charr home instance said? I know that he exists but I didn’t get to see him in the charr personal story nor in any the living story stuff.

There is no “the charr imperator” there’s “the charr imperators” – we can meet one of them as wookiee pointed out, the other two are in their own legions’ homelands’s citadels – Blood being east of the Blazeridge; Ash’s is unknown (and yes, I know the area north of Ascalon is called “Blood Legion Homelands” – the Blood Citadel, however, is east of the Blazeridge Mountains). There’s also the fourth Imperator, Gaheron Baelfire, whom we kill.

Dear ANet writers,
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

Can’t you visit him inside the War Council at the very top of the Imperator Core? I remember paying him a visit. He didn’t have anything interesting to say.

That’s cool, there are 4 imperators of the 4 legions no Khan-Ur, will there be a new Khan-Ur after they discovered that artefact at the end of Ghosts of Ascalon?
They didn’t do anything important in the personal story and nothing in the living world. I’ve only seen stuff about tribunes, the most important of them being Rytlock Brimstone. There is little info on the imperators or the Khan-Ur in-game. Will this be addressed in the future? Or are they just there to be there.

I’ve been told that Smodur does appear if you take a certain choice in the “Sorcerous Shaman” arc, but I don’t know how integral he is to that story.

As to the Khan-Ur, keep in mind that the most important part of claiming the title isn’t some ancient toy, but being able to subdue all other claimants. Even under the shaman caste, when the race was unified, no one managed to pull it off.

If Smodur made that claim, he’d at the very least destroy the accord with the other legions in Ascalon. From what we’ve heard of the other legions, he’d be inviting open war with the Blood Legion, and quite possibly assassination at the hands of Ash, and this with ghosts, Flame Legion, branded, and separatists infesting his back yard. So, no. I don’t think we’ll see that happening any time in the foreseeable future.

R.I.P., Old Man of Auld Red Wharf. Gone but never forgotten.

There’s quite a bit on Smodur around the Imperator’s Core and elsewhere in the Black Citadel – for example, a touring fahrar brings up rumors about him clawing out his own eye just to unsettle his opponents – the primus/tour guide doesn’t dodges the cubs’ asking about it (which they point out). Do note that by “quite a bit” I’m talking comparatively to… anything else in the game. So not much, but can be seen there.

As to the artifact at the end of Ghosts of Ascalon – it’s said Smodur has it, having been given it to enter peace talks. Out-of-game info state that there’s rumors he intends to destroy the Claw of the Khan-Ur and remove the old traditions of Khan-Ur, at least in regards to how to obtain the title.

That’s interesting! I certainly wouldn’t rule out the idea (especially since Smodur was progressive enough to entertain peace talks with Jennah), although I think Bangar would be absolutely furious with Smodur if he did that. (Bangar seems to be much more of a traditionalist.) There’s already speculation that Bangar was secretly supporting, or at least not clamping down on, Renegade factions. Would such a move by Smodur make him angry enough to go openly Renegade, and perhaps take all of Blood Legion with him?

I can see Bangar and part of the the Blood Legion turning against the Iron and Ash legions but I’m not sure if the Blood legion as a whole would do that.

Why would Smodur, Imperator of the Iron Legions, turn against the Iron and Ash Legion? :P

Do you mean Bangar and part of the Blood Legion (Bangar Ruinbringer being the Blood Imperator). Smodur and Malice (Iron and Ash Imperators respectively) are allies and hold shared goals at least in regards to other races. Bangar is considered the “wild card” of the trio.

Haha, whoops, meant Bangar of course. Will fix that.

Thank you for clarifying this topic, I just wanted more than I’ve been given in-game. I wanted more stuff with the imperators in the living story. Maybe in the future, cool idea though.
