LS3; Why not?
- Rytlock or Laranthir are my bets on the new Pact Marshal. Despite the vocal playerbase’s outcry to be leader and hatred of Trahearne which no doubt led to his death and the Pact’s (probably earlier than originally intended) destruction, at least in my mind, I hope they don’t make the PC the Pact Marshal. The PC wouldn’t make a logical or realistic organization leader.
- Glint’s egg was in stasis until it was brought to Magus Falls. A hibernating mind cannot talk. And the egg doesn’t talk to the player at all – after placing it in Tarir it shows a vision, which while not ambiguous isn’t enough to place such specific words as E does in his letters. The Master of Peace was out of Tyria too frequently to know the workings of Lion’s Arch and Divinity’s Reach politics to learn of assassination attempts by the Aetherblades.
- Doubtful. They seemed a bigger threat to risen than branded.
- Malyk’s Tree was stated to be west of the river his pod was found in – that should have placed his tree in Auric Basin, Tangled Depths, or the unexplored lands directly east of TD. Auric Basin’s location was my bet, so unless the Morwood Wilds is secretly Malyck’s tree (which I doubt), then it is east of TD – where the mordrem were marching to – not north of Brisban.
- Mordremoth was using the Dream. Nothing said he was the source. Sounded to me like he was no different than the Pale Tree or White Stag.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
-Rytlock is already a solid leader. He’d be great to lead the pact. And I don’t think our characters would really mind his new powers. They seemed to like his help well enough, and if they still trusted Trehearne enough to try to save him, even after the great Sylvari betrayal (as I just now started calling it) I’m sure they’ll be fine with Rytlock.
-I don’t think there’s any indication the egg talks. That’s kind of a weird one for me.
-My personal fantasy is that Kralk is more busy with Joko’s armies to the south. I’d love to go to Elona one day to find that while Joko is a tyrannical ruler, he’s also the only thing saving Elona from total death by crystalization. But that’s just me fantasizing. I don’t think the ghosts really have much effect on the branded though.
-I want to know how Malyck looks human shaped when the rest of the Sylvari were supposed to be modeled after what they were buried on. Did some mordrem just go around planting seeds on dead humans?
-I think the Dream of Dreams is potentially too good a story tool to just get rid of all of a sudden. I think either the Pale Tree is the source, or more likely, it’s just a…realm? of sorts that the Sylvari just have access to.
-Your English is better than my…Spanish? I’m sorry. I don’t know which country Baruch Bay servers are on. The point is, I only speak English, so your language skills are already better than mine.
After read the ideas of the egg, i think you are rigth. Glint’s egg can not be mister E.
So, here is another idea that could be great.
Can the ones who travel to the mist, travel to the past? Can the Revenant travel to the past?
In LS3 We have to play as Rytlock, that is the best way to tell how he obteined his new power. Like we do with Caithe.
I do not understand the Mist, so this is only “trash talk”.
Rytlock knows everything about what happenned; Dragon bash, Scarlets Arc, and the Pact go after Mordremoth.
First of all, he recovered his sword, and gained his power. But he could not find the correct way out.
So, he appers in the festival of DR, he does not see the PC, so he send him a letter with the name Mister E.
He must not interact with anyone, so he talks with Marjory’s back.
Go back to the mist, and went to another exit. Appers when Dry top is open. He send another letter to the PC, and the LS2 starts without problems.
Go back to the mist.
Maybe then, a few phases with Rytlock saving DE 2.0, or something.
And the last exit, appers en SW, in the middle of the disaster of the Pact., when HOT starts.
What do you think guys?
Marjory’s been in physical contact with E. She didn’t see him, but it’s probably enough to rule out more outlandish possibilities.
I’m inclined to think E’s human. Marjory would probably have noticed if E wasn’t (certainly if E was charr) – and given the story was from her perspective, human would be the race that’s not worth mentioning. Of course, there are ways around that (particularly since transformation magics do exist in lore) but there is evidence suggesting E is a male (because of the deep voice) human.
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.
i have to add both Varesh and Livia (i know i know Varesh is dead xD) had pretty deep voices (altought i dont think E is Livia)
if the orders dont go there own way. i think Rytlock makes the most sense as pact leader
(I only see the vigil sticking to the attacking dragons head on plain. The other 2 orders may look into a plain B after the way HoT ended)

While I totally agree with the bad reasons for Trahearne’s death, I’d still like the PC to be the Pact Marshal… for a short time. My dream would be that for LS3, we, as Pact leader, have to go in different places over Tyria due to official task. But each time there would be a dragon minion attack. In fact, by having a prominent role in the defeat of two of them, the remaining ones would see us as a primary target. It would lead to the attack of the new Pact HQ. After that everyone in Tyria would be scared of our presence anywhere. We would be forced to transmit the lead to somebody else (Laranthir being my first choice but I’d like a new vote in game) and only DE 2.0 would stay with us. From there our role in the fight against the dragons should be less in the heart of the action… until of course the very last fight against the next one.
It would give a more dramatic feeling on our character, the fact that you can’t be a hero for ever and that when you fail (even if it is not directly your fault, then other will rapidly reject you as if nothing you did before counted).

Well i am all for PC as pact leader, but only if he is norn, sylvary or human. As pact leader we tame the dragons and sic them on the asura and charr take ascalon back and give the asura tec to the skritt, oh and then the world ends but fear not: one female sidekick of our PC was blinded in the process and turns into a goddess to safe us all. If you bothered to read until this point, yes i was goofing off. Hope you die smile at least a little.
