Largos!
They appear to be a deep sea race so we will likely see more of them when dealing with Bubbles.

Largos came from far shiverpeaks along with kodan.Deep sea dragon is speculated to be in cantha so no.
The Largos are an aquatic race of assassins from the deep oceans of the far north and the Unending Ocean – in both cases, they lived and interacted, to varying degrees, with the native quaggan. This is from the GW2 wiki.
I just hope they become closer to the concept art. I don’t like the winged humanoid look at all. Even more if Arenanet is planning to make them the second playable race along with the Tengu. They remind me the Oni in Gw1.
I’d love to see them as a playable race, though more in line with the concept art. They’d need to have a fair few ‘rugged’ options, though.

The Largos appear to be native to both oceans in the same way the Quaggan are. You can run into them quite alot in game. Theres one in the Brisbane Wildlands, one up near the Kodo and a few around Orr.
They do have problems with the DSD (that’s why one of the largos-related events is helping a “master” largos train his apprentice to survive and fight since their home has become way too dangerous and the waters “darkened”)Also does anybody mind linking to a source that says the DSD is in cantha ?The current setting for it in the Movement of the World pretty much makes it sound like we won’t go there since the humans banished all other races and will certainly not want help (or we could have parts of the storyline to try and convince the emperor to lend a hand with the elder dragons because they will eventually get to cantha too).Same goes for Elona – the impression is that 100% of it is under the rule of Palawa who is expanding north to Orr and fighting zhaitan’s forces, seems like a lost cause to even go there.

There’s nothing that says Bubbles is in Cantha to the best of my knowledge. As the poster said, that was speculation. Despite what he believes, speculation does not disprove anything.
Also does anybody mind linking to a source that says the DSD is in cantha ?
It’s a foolish speculative notion of no support based on the nickname “deep sea dragon” – people for some odd reason attached it to The Deep in the Jade Sea and in turn to the Leviathan centipede like creatures there.
There is no actual support for the DSD to even be touching Cantha’s shores. However, the quaggan and krait from the Unending Ocean were forced out 50 years prior to GW2 – the approximate date of the DSD’s rise. And Colin (I think) once slipped during a convention that they were pushed out of their homelands by an “underwater dragon.” This with the largos coming from the same waters as quaggan (both north and south it seems) and them being “darkened” and too dangerous for a race of assassins furthers supports the DSD being in the Unending Ocean – likely away from all land source.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
…the character i met in the p.story Sayeh al’ Rehjid reminds me so much of Tali from ME……maybe it’s the same actor who voiced them or whatever…
No, it’s not Tali’s voice actress. It’s Tali’s aunt, Shala’raan. So you were close.
But the Canthan Empire is a naval power. Thus any kind of supernatural entity threatening Canthan ships would be a major threat to the Empire. Tyria even see sporadic Canthan sailors washing ashore on Maguuma jungle which would indicate that the Empire is more than willing to wage war agains this DSD.

Where is it stated Cantha’s a naval power? The only nation ever to be called a naval power to my memory is Istan.
And sporadic sailors can be many things more than waging war with the DSD:
-Cantha’s trying to make trade with the northern continent again
-There are still refugees fleeing from Cantha
-Cantha’s just trying to find out why their sailors keep disappearing.
-Pirates.
