Living Story -Reintroduction to Malyck??
Worst feelin ever …. w8ing for next story, or rather moment you are interested in :- >
Right?? But I am excited to see what their plan is for Caithe, especially with the way she was acting in this latest installment.
Well… as you proly watched new trailer, there are coming up even more and more questions + my imagination is working on it’s own realy hard now :- D
True, but I complain that the story is starting to ask more questions than its willing to answer, which is part of the reason I’m so fond of the idea of Malyck making a return to the story-if nothing else just to tie up that loose end.
And the concept of a second Pale Tree is a little too big to just ignore shortly after its unveiled. I felt a little cheated by that aspect of the personal story.
Take it easy, story is far from end :- ) There will be even more questions, but i bet they will answer on most of them :- )

That’s nothing new. The game had plenty of mysteries set up at launch (several before launch going back to GW1) and Season 1 was basically mystery after mystery. Season 2 is doing a better job of at least giving us more to work with.
In general, it seems like we have to follow what’s specifically mentioned in the Living Story rather than follow what we’ve seen elsewhere in the game world. Malyck has been mentioned a couple of times in the Living Story so it is more than possible that he will return.
My theory is that Malyck is dead. Caithe killed Malyck as she determined he was a possible threat given how the story progressed. With recent LS updates I’ve also been toying with the idea that after killing him she ventured further west and actually found the other tree and has been influenced by it (whether mentally or simply through appeal). This led to her reasoning for stealing Glint’s egg as she feels it will benefit her new tree in some way.
The first part about her killing Malyck I’ve held to for a long time and believe that is what Scarlet knows about her and perhaps if the second part of my theory is correct Scarlet may know about Caithe’s relationship with the second tree as well.

That’s quite nice theory :- D Can’t wait to see what’s next …
First of all, we are slowly pushing further West, which is where his tree supposedly is planted. Secondly, considering this is the area where Mordremoth dwells, it could easily indicate the fan-favorite theory that Sylvari are actually dragonspawn. His tree could be a branch of the dragon itself.
Since there is also some indication that the other tree might not have a dream it’s possible that they would be minions, but not necessarily dragonspawn.

I’m fine with the asking questions and I think they do answer a lot of questions (although the tend to introduce 2 for every 1 they answer). Whats starting to tire me is how we go from one mystery plot to the next. Why did the Zepherites crash? Why is Aerin crazy? What is going on with this magic symbol with the Pale Tree in it? What’s up with the Pale Tree vision? Oh so the Master has the egg and is protecting it, mystery solved, but now we have another mystery with Caithe. Somehow I see us resolving Caithe’s little sub plot only to get yet another mystery sub plot going XD
It’s not necessarily bad, but it’s starting to feel that whenever the story starts rolling and I really get into it we run into another mystery sub-plot that we have to wait 2 or more weeks to maybe answer it.

Dont you feel like watching some kind of series? :- )
What if Malyck returned in an attempt to corrupt the Pale Tree to its original form of being a spawn of the Dragon, but the Pale Tree turns out to be an elder dragon itself, and fights Mordremoth! I personally think that would be really cool.
