This forum needs a better search topic. That was what I got from a google search of “guildwars2 forum strange gate”

Yup, looks like the image of the gate over where the Bloodstone Caves dungeon was in GW1.

Interesting, there is a smaller version of something very similar in Lornar’s pass on the ground

It’s also built into the side of the College of… Dynamics, I think. There’s a vista that showcases it on Rata Sum’s top level.

That is similar, but a little different from the first one shown. It is larger, and has the symbol of a sun in the middle, which seems to point towards Hylek involvement in shutting it, even if it is obviously of Asuran make.
