As the title says, I have been exploring with much interest as things are uncovered the higher our GH levels, and discovering new changes. I would be interested to know what the current opinion is on what Lost Precipice was. The interesting combination of Dwayna Iconography and the depiction of dragons or creatures that resemble dragons makes me think at some point it was a sanctuary, I don’t know if we ever found out the location of the original Elder Dragon sanctuaries, the ones that protected the races. But it seems to be a good candidate for one of those locations. There also seems to be some form of correlation to floods or flooding at some point.

I also would like to know if we have any translations on the runes in lost precipice, I have them snapped in attached images. Some of the interesting things I have found are attached as well. By far the most interesting to me is the monastery/shrine to dwayna, and the Mural depicting a woman shrouded by feathers. Also the murals depicting what looks like the areas extending into Dry Top and some of the Oasis’s and depiction of a dragon in the mosaics/and like the SW in statue form. Also finding no trace of mordremoths influence except for one small passage choked with vines.

[My apologies in advance if this has been covered in a thread buried in the forum]

Don’t recall seeing “depictions of dragons or creatures that resemble dragons” in Lost Precipice – where do you refer to? Or do you mean the various eagles that can also be seen on similar ruins (seen most obviously in Silverwastes but also Verdant Brink)?

I haven’t seen runes known to be translatable, and none seem to show in your album link.

There is a statue of Melandru in the jungle temple portion of the guild hall.

The plaques around Tarir indicate that the Forgotten were in the Lost Precipice at some stage in relatively recent history. It’s not clear, however, whether they made the structures and carvings there themselves or whether those structures and carvings already existed.

My gut feeling is ‘druid’ – there are other animal carvings present (a cat rock on the north wall, for instance), it fits the honour given to the gods, and I don’t think Forgotten architecture would normally include so many stairs.

To those who think Scarlet hate means she’s succeeded as a villain:
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.

Both guild halls are supposed to be Forgotten cities built before Tahir was IIRC.

Not really, it’s just that the Forgotten went to Lost Precipice. The curious thing to note is that the Forgotten point out Lost Precipice by name, but just describe Gilded Hollows instead of naming it.

The architecture between the ‘sandstone’ ruins and the ‘golden ruins’ differ fairly greatly too.
