Lunatic Court now siding with Prince Edrick
The Rebel Lunatics aren’t the Lunatic Court – they’re rebels.
Even in last year’s events, there was mention from some of the (nonhostile) Lunatic Court NPCs spread across some of the Krytan maps that there was a rebellion in the Mad Realm – it’s not unsurprising that those rebels might flock to add their support to a serious challenger to the Mad King’s power.
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.
I could be remembering incorrectly but in regards to the Rebels… I remember there being a baron/lord or some-type during last year’s Halloween events mentioned somewhere, one who wasn’t a huge fan of the Mad King. There were Lunatics that were more allied with him than the King, and I think it’s those rebels that are now sided with Edrick.
There’s a lot of ambient and hidden-away dialogue I ended up missing, I’m sure, as I didn’t spend a ton of time in the maze and barely even tried the Inquisition.
The Archivist’s Sanctum [Lore] – Just Us Grown-Ups [JUGS]
Last year we saw that the Lunatic Court was in a civil war – this was focused in the three meta events in Queensdale, Kessex, and Gendarran. Sadly, no one seems to have documented the dialogue (not surprising given how confusing the Kessex and Gendarran event format and dialogue was) but from what my memory serves, the rebels were led by Baron Wycker, whom we fought in Queensdale. During the fight with him he mentioned a prince that should be crowned.
The Lunatic Court split – rebels led by Baron Wycker – in order to crown little Eddie and replace papa Ozzy. Now that Eddie is free, they follow him.
These rebels are likely why Eddie knew of the Mad Realm so fast too.
About the pillar… I’m not seeing that Mad King’s face thing.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
The top of the pillar kind of looked like a pumpkin with lots of slits cut into it, like his head.

Now that i take a better look though, maybe not.
Don’t worry Konig, I don’t see it either. I think people are trying to dig deeper than there is any reason to. I am interested though to see more about the krait, and perhaps dig a little deeper than the freakin Witch’s dialogues…
