I’m wondering about this..

May the dragon champions be corrupted by the power of another elder dragon?

What get me question about this, its the Sunless – Tequatl. It is a dragon corrupted by Zhaitan, But how all we know, it comes from under of the sea. Maybe would be Tequatl, an Champion of “The deepwater dragon”, corrupted by the power of one elder dragon more powerful, in this case, Zhaitan ?

What you think?

I think it is plausible given the fact that it seems that some Dragon champions seem intelligent and have free-will. Although in a corrupted state their thought processes may be convoluted. Once they break free from corruption they could possibly be corrupted by another Dragon.

It’s visible in the Crucible of Eternity explorable dungeon that multiple dragon corruptions can exist on the same creature. The question is, though, can a champion be corrupted by multiple dragons, and that is something that is an unknown. For your specific example, I find it highly unlikely that Tequatl is a DSD champion that was corrupted by Zhaitan because of the fact that Zhaitan has literally hundreds of them flying in the skies of Arah. You can see them all around you during the dungeon fight and even just looking up in the sky as you explore the peninsula of Orr. But to the question of champions being corrupted by multiple dragons, it does not seem possible to me for one very simple reason. The corruptions may exist side by side with no problem, but the effects on the mind of the creature are what holds me back. No matter how much personality dragon champions have they are always extremely devoted to their master. Because of this, a champion that has been corrupted by multiple dragons would have their mind literally torn apart with devotion to two beings which are most likely not allies of each other. I personally believe there are three options here. Either the champion’s mind would be in eternal conflict as to where it’s allegiance lies, the champion’s mind would war with itself until it was rendered completely useless (vegetative), or eventually one allegiance would somehow rise above the other (although in this last one I find it hard to believe some damage wouldn’t be done to the psyche of the champion).

Oh yes, have a lot of then flying , but only Tequatl comes from the water =]

And well.. if dragons are a race? I think that they are like the Karkas… a great family :V

Yes.. I really think that the elder dragon are only a race of creatures of a massive amount of power, its proved that we can kill they, so.. they aren’t anithing more than an another great creature to be beaten.

Even gods can be killed in GW, so that argument really doesn’t amount to much.

Only fools and heroes charge in without a plan.

Yes Mauricio, but Tequatl uses the exact same skin as all of the other Champions of Zhaitan. Thus if Tequatl is a DSD champion it would make sense that they all would be. BTW there are/were dragons around that, as far as we know, aren’t related to Elder Dragons. Saltspray dragons in Cantha and the undead dragons we fight in Kryta (which came with the undead from Orr). The saltsprays do not act like dragon champions when we look at the ones that weren’t corrupted by the jade wind. As for the undead dragons, we have no clue. All we know is there were some dragon-like beings that were killed in the cataclysm and resurrected in undead forms. When it comes to the Elder Dragons I am in the camp that says that they are not living beings, but rather large amounts of magic trapped within a shell. I do personally hope that the Priory is able to find Zhaitan’s body and study it so we can learn more about what actually makes up an Elder Dragon

In GW1 we killed Abaddon. When we did his magic was released and Kormir stepped in and absorbed his power to become a goddess.

Dragon minions can. Kudu was attempting to make his own dragon champion, resulting in Kudu’s Monster (a Risen Giant embued with Primordus, Jormag, and Kralkatorrik energies) and Subject Alpha (unknown what it was originally – doesn’t look risen, branded, destroyer, or icebrood).

Hmm.. any gods (Human gods for example) have been killed? No one from what my momory remind me =D . Only their “High priestess”, the real “Gods” abandoned the humans, but not have been wiped..

Abaddon, who was stronger than any 2 other gods and the strongest of the Six Gods, was killed in GW1. And Abaddon’s unnamed predecessor was killed long before that. Other gods may have killed and supplanted predecessor gods too, like how Kormir supplanted Abaddon, Abaddon supplanted his predecessor, and Grenth supplanted Dhuum.

Only Dhuum survived.

Dear ANet writers,
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
