Mystic Forge transformation
Connection?!
Probably not, actually. lol

There was a dev comment on the reddit thread for this topic with the same joke.
There’s no way they added this on accident, so it is intentional. With a dev joke-questioning if there’s a connection, I bet there is.
The Thaumanova Anomaly always looked like an air djinn to me. In Nightfall, they looked like yellow versions of the fire djinns, and this guy’s equally yellow but far more ‘air’-y with the lightning effects.
I doubt it’s a coincidence.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
Which possibly points towards the Exalted being armoured djinn as has been previously theorised, but we’ll see when we get to them.
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.

It makes no sense to have djinn outside Elona. They are bound to the places which they inhabit, all of which are in Elona. Also, there were no naturally occurring djinn in the same area of GW1.
Incorrect. We see plenty of djinn in Eye of the North, although they don’t always use the name. We also never visited the Golden City in Guild Wars 1, so we can’t say whether there were djinn there or not, just that there weren’t any in the parts of the jungle that we could reach… apart from Arachni’s Haunt, if you count Burning Spirits.
