Hey guys,

I’m interested in a couple of lore. I was wondering if someone could explain the hierarchy when it comes to dragons, gods, champions, and Asura. Who’s the strongest in Tyria? Giganticus Lupicus seem so cool. I wish there was more on them

maybe you ask in the lore forum if someone can explain these things to you or maybe show you a site where you can read all the information about it

On an individual level, both Elder Dragons and Gods are more powerful than the races of Tyria. But obviously as part of GW2, the races of Tyria unite together and killed an Elder Dragon.

There hasn’t been any interaction between the Elder Dragons and Gods to our knowledge, so which one is more powerful is unknown.

Dragons and gods (I guess you are implying the human gods) are amongst the most powerful beings we know of currently. Which ones are stronger is not something we can conclude at the moment.

Champions (I guess you mean dragon champions) are below dragons and gods, obviously. And while they’re quite powerful (lore-wise, not game-wise), probably Palawa Joko, Shiro Tagachi & others are more powerful than them, in my opinion.

Asura, as a race, are quite powerful due to their magi-technology and knowledge. But individualy, you can find from weak as a mosquito to strong as champion.

The Asura are obviously the most powerful, as Asuran ingenuity helped destroy one Elder Dragon already. One need look no further than that to realize that if the Elder Dragons are stronger than Gods, and Gods are, by far, stronger than Champions, then the Asura are the strongest.

Here we see flawed logic in its natural habitat, the Guild Wars 2 Lore Forum. What a majestic creature. Surely you can’t be serious! The asura alone would have roflstomped to Cantha and back. Elder Dragons consume magic. Asura use magitech, with the emphasis on the magical side of everything.

I think the dragons could eat the gods because they are beings of magic, the gods could stomp the mortal races and as we have seen in the case of zhaitan the mortal races can unite to become better than the sum of their parts and be strong enough to kill a dragon.

More of a rock paper scissors type scenario than a structured hierarchy. Everyone stomps the dragon champs though.
