Gotta say…really liked the long dialogues between the various cast members of the Living Story. A lot. The story from Kashmeere was a bit out of nowhere, but the rest seemed very fitting. The small Asura I liked especially, and boy does that golem look awesome (especially with her riding it).

Gotta say, when I entered the new update I learned there are just the boss fights and nothing else. I was rather displeased, you can say!

Luckily I stuck around, fought the fights and learned that there is more, and I liked it!

I still don’t like Scarlet, but I enjoyed the new dialogues, very much so!
Also the fact that I could walk around and chat with character to find out more. Except Logan, who ran away before I could read what exactly he thinks about Rytlocks warband, coo!

Also, the quaggan couple! Yay for those two, I appreciate their presence!

I am yet to get in Salad Bowl AKA Scarlet’s Lair, so can’t say anything about that, but I will! I don’t care much for her (to say the least), and originally I intended to ignore anything related to her storywise, but now I changed my mind. Who knows, maybe I’ll be convinced she isn’t a waste of pixels after all?

ps. The new golden star leading the player from dialogue to dialogue after the obligatory part was over is a nice addition I think. Heck, I didn’t even notice it untill convo between Logan and Marsmeer, but it’s a good way to lead players from story node to story node nonetheless!

I like the precedent that the giant instance set, and it does feel right to check on everyone after a month and a half off… though I was really disappointed to see that they still have textdump NPCs that run out of the instance with no warning whatsoever.

The Kasmeer story may not be as unrelated as we think. This is just a hypothesis of mine, but I think that Scarlet may have been connected to those gamblers in Lion’s Arch. People have been wondering where she gets her funds, and I’d say that the bulk of a noble family’s holdings would be a nice start.

While i find the instance they served to us was very pleasing, i was more curious about our new asuran friend. So I thought who is the one character we know with an interest in young talent and always likes a new and sparkly golem like Taimi and her friend. So I went to snaff memorial labs to see if Zojja had any insight and lo and behold I found Mr. Sparkles and her missing from their usual residence. I also found a not very helpful golem that told me she went “out”. Can I suspect we just found our missing “guardian”?

I think Zojja is often out, depending on your character and how far they are with the personal story. I know my sylvari has always found Rytlock away from his office.

Still find it odd went to find her on two diff characters same result.

QFT. You’re lucky he didn’t run off just as you were headed into battle against some kind of crystalline abomination, OP.

OT: I also really liked the instance, it’s a better way to bring elements of backstory into the game— feels much more natural than putting it all in stories in the website.

Well, maybe too much out-of-the-blue then. Because it came as such a surprise, it felt a little…forced. That doesn’t mean I didn’t like the story bits overall though.

The story from Kashmeere was a bit out of nowhere, but the rest seemed very fitting.

Actually, the story about her father relates back to her dialogue from Dragon Bash.

“This festival reminds me of when I was little, and my father and I used to go to the carnival in Divinity’s Reach.”
Does your father still live in Divinity’s Reach?
“No. He’s…He’s gone. My mother died when I was young, and my father…He was taken earlier this year.”
You must miss him.
“I miss the man who used to hold my hand at the carnival, yes. But, let’s not talk about that. It’s too nice a day!”
You work for Marjory Delaqua, don’t you?
’I work with her, yes. I joined Delaqua Investigations a few months ago. I needed some excitement to break up the boredom, you see?"
