I’m sorry but.. I seem to be missing several story steps, and others are in different places… cleansing all of Orr before i even set foot inside? what happened to the Pale Tree’s question? why does Trahearne seem shocked to see a single Abomination when he saw 8 of them several story steps prior? Seriously, I want some Anet dev help on this one. what happened to all the story steps?

This was a change to the personal storyline in the 9/9 feature update. There are several dozen threads on this matter already, a few are on the front page of this lore forum. Long answer short: Anet gone done kittened up the plot.

I think this something like the 10th thread about this subject in the lore subforum alone.

The update on september 9 did several things:

1. It made it so that every 10 levels one completes multiple related story steps.
2. It removed the greatest fear storyline (the one with Apatia / Tonn / Syska)
3. It changed the order of Orr story steps around (this last change is no doubt related to the 1st change).

There is a lot wrong with these changes. Especially since Anet did not change dialogues. However, so far Anet has not adequately responded to the problem.
