Back during game release, I chose Bear for my Norn guardian spirit guide. In retrospect (like 1 year later) , Wolf seems like a much more fitting choice, considering guardians whole “loyalty and strength in numbers” attitude. But doesnt bear make sense for them to? I mean, theyre front fighters who have to rely on theyre own strength to protect others.

It sorta makes me sad that Anet wont create a gem store service where you can revise your character creation choices. Even if I totally understand why they cant do it.

I think that either could make sense based on the mentality of your guardian. Raven could possibly also make sense if worked through correctly, although I would say that leopard would be a stretch.

Besides, doesnt norns revere every spirit to some regard? I mean obviously, a guardian is gonna revere snow leopard far less than a thief would do. But at the same time, both Bear and Wolfs virtues should be important for a guardian.

There is no set standard fot how the SotW are revered. Some choose one over the rest. Some choose them all. While others just pick and choose lessons from any of them as they see fit. So your options in this reguard are open.

pretty much what Dustfinger said, but if you want a rough match-up between professions and spirits, this is what I came up back when I designed my characters (I don’t fully remember the reasons for each match)

Bear: Elementalist, Guardian
Raven: Engineer, Necromancer
Snow Leopard: Mesmer, Thief
Wolf: Ranger, Warrior

I would like to point out here that warrior could also follow bear and the teamwork aspect of wolf could be followed by any profession really. There is lots of free space.
