Look, I know. We’ve been to this well a couple of times, and it’s always been dry. But it’s been an expansion and a LS season since Revenants became a playable profession and Rytlock returned from the Mists, and if the PoF announcement trailer is anything to go by, he might finally tell us at least something about what happened there. So could we just get some sort of explanation on what Revenants are and how they’re going to become a somewhat common profession?

Honestly, at this point I don’t care if the PoF story starts after a timeskip and some guy in a blindfold comes up to us and says “Revenants are a thing now”, I just want actual confirmation that they are, in fact, a thing.

This was a problem with HoT and elite specs/revenant in general.

On the plus side, they seem to be committed to actually giving NPCs our elite specs in PoF – Wooden Potatoes talks with an NPC who is a Mirage and explains ‘Mirage magic’. If you ARE that elite spec, I speculate it’ll give you different flavour text.

The hope is, we’ll see a Revenant NPC using Renegade and there’ll be some more solid in-game lore surrounding Revs in general. They seem to have listened to feedback about the disappointing lack of profession lore in HoT, so here’s hoping.
