Ogden Stonehealer
A-net stated that all dwarves did eventually undergo the right to turn to stone.
How could he if the rite was already completed? i didnt think it could be done again if the King was already turned to stone
The Rite was not a one-time thing (nor is there anything to imply that it was). Over the course of roughly 50 years the dwarves underwent the rite.

I could by that I just wished they would put a bit if dialog that would describe that in gw2
They did, though like many things it’s very obscure.
During the norn storyline, you have to defend the Durmand Priory and Ogden; during the Vigil option for that lvl 28 step (if not Priory and Whispers), if you talk to Ogden after completing the step, he mentions that “by 200 years ago, there wasn’t a single dwarf of flesh and blood” (paraphrased!).

And I don’t exactly remember where, Konig probably does, but in one of the scenes in GW1 Ogden says something about not going through the transformation.
He doesn’t say it expressly, but I believe that he told the hero (us) that he would stay with him temporarily. I think you may be able to take what he said as an indication that he would indeed transform one day. Of course, that just may be how I took it.
Just found it! Ogden Stonehealer: “Not I. Those who undergo the rite are changed in both body AND mind. I will stay with you, for the moment.” – from the Great Dwarf cinematic.
Ogden is the only dwarf we know about. Are we sure he’s the only dwarf who hasn’t transformed? It would be nice if Mrs Ogden was still around somewhere.
Ogden has transformed (though at the end of Eye of the North, he wasn’t the only who didn’t yet). All dwarves have transformed to stone – according to Ogden, within 50 years of the Great Destroyer’s death.

Reading this stuff about awesome events and progressing of the story in GW1 I feel really betrayed by the “living story” in GW2…
Maybe one day when they finally bring out an expansion. I’m starting to feel we need to stop purchasing gems to “force” them to release an expansion…
You know…
ARE there female dwarves in Tyrian Lore, or are Dwarves really creatures formed from magic alone. I mean they like to say they were forged by the gods on anvil rock and I’ve never seen any indication or mention of lady dwarves, or even dwarven children.
Its understandable not to have seen them, but we had a lot of talk time with dwarves in GW1 and I can’t recall anyone ever mentioning a wife, child, or anything like that. Anyone remember any text to contradict that?

There are female dwarves and dwarven children, if the dwarves are to be believed.
“How do you know you haven’t already met a female dwarf? Eh? Eh?”

“Does me beard look short to you? I think that nasty wife o’ mine cut it while I was sleeping.”
“My youngest daughter was killed in a raid by the Summit a few months ago…”
“I’ve a hankering for some o’ Grenda’s hearty stew.” (Grenda is a feminine name)
“Now now. I’m busy. Wife says our barrel of grog is empty…”

One thing I’ve always been curious about. Did the Stone Summit undergo the Rite too? It seems to be a fundamental religious goal for all dwarves, but given the deep hatred between the Deldrimor dwarves and the Summit, it seems almost inconceivable that the Stone Summit would have willingly submitted to the Rite to fight forever beside their hated rivals.
“Because they are so alike in voice and stature many believe that there ARE no Dwarven women. This has given rise to the belief that Dwarves apparently spring, fully formed, from the ground, which is, of course, ridiculous.”
“It’s the beards.”
fans hate Joffrey. They hate her the way Star Wars
fans hate Jar Jar Binks.”-not a direct quote, but still true.
@Zaxares: Yes, they did. Go to southern Dredgehaunt Cliffs, specifically the remains of Granite Citadel. You can learn that shortly after Eye of the North, the Stone Summit returned from their exile and rejoined the Deldrimor dwarves in preparations for undergoing the Rite. There are Stone Summit, Deldrimor, and even humans buried in the Granite Citadel.
It should be kept in mind that the Stone Summit didn’t really outright hate Deldrimor – not in full. They were ruled by Dagnar Stonepate who was xenophobic and after the throne, as well as Hierophantic cultists favoring the Great Destroyer. Their leaders were killed. The only thing that separated the two groups after that, other than victor/loser of the civil war, was that the Stone Summit may still have been xenophobic throughout.

Ahh, thanks for that, Konig. I still haven’t explored Dredgehaunt Cliffs in great detail yet (it’s next on my list of map rotations).
