First of all sorry for my bad English.
This is my theory about the Pale Tree that I would like you to comment and since I never played GW1 feel free to correct me if I got anything wrong.
The Pale Tree was planted by Ronan 250 years ago but it gave his first “fruits” only 225 years later. Now why is that? Does it take the tree so long to mature or is the close awakening of Mordremoth that starts the births? I would say the later and I will go even further by saying that once Mordremoth starts to stir he blossom and pollinate the Pale Tree. He is actually the father of the Sylvari (waiting for Star Wars puns :P ).
On how the Ventari tablet and/or the Dream protects them from Mordremoth’s influence there are lots of topics so I wont discuss it here (and I really have nothing clever to say about it ).
There are some that believes that the Pale Tree can take Mordremoth place once he (if he) dies. I don’t believe so. Simply because what I believe is that the Tree once Mordremoth goes back to sleep dies. Before our day Sylvaris no one ever seen one. Not even in GW1 anybody knew about the existence of a Tree or Sylvari. That means that the previous one are all dead. The seeds are the last “fruits” of the Tree and maybe some “lastborns” that are guardians of those seeds. Ronan said that the cave where he found the seeds were guarded by “terrible plant creatures” so they could be mordrems but could also the lastborn Sylvaris. How long does the Tree lives and is it bound to die when Mordremoth dies or go to sleep or it dies of old age well that will need to see.
This is all just a theory with no real proof but want to hear what you all think about it. Thank you for your patience and time

Only issue I see right now is that Mordremoth’s death doesn’t have to mean the tree dies. We killed Zhaitan and we still have Tequatl the Sunless to deal with. He actually even became stronger. It will likely happen to the Pale tree too. Since she won’t have to spend so much energy blocking a dead Mordremoth’s influence, she’ll have more energy to devote to…whatever it is sentient tree does with her time.

Yes that is true.
What I wanted to say is that the Tree is not a dragon and does not live long as the dragons do. So the Tree probably cannot take Mordremoths place in the preservation of magic balance.
