One story issue I can't seem to get
Mordremoth wanted to wake up, but don’t forget their current sleep is(was) because the Seers made the bloodstones effectively starving the dragons into hibernation. Most of them woke up on their own, albeit needing the help from some minions. I think most dragons spouted minions to gather magic (anti-kitten), until there was enough to wake up on (insert Great Destroyer from GW1 here)
Now, Mordremoth is slightly different apparantly. He chose Scarlet as his chaperone to get the magic to awaken him, and Scarlet the ever overachiever decided that some relics wasn’t gonna be enough like it was for Zhaitan, no, she had to flood the tunnels with leyline by drilling straight into a node so that a wave of magic would wash over mordremoth.
(This is just a speculation based on logic, but I dont have more proof than just a likely scenario)

Much like Amaimon said, I think Scarlett did what she did to escalate Mordremoth’s awakening, rather than wait for him to eventually wake up on his own. I think it was implied at some point that she was Soundless, meaning she didn’t have the Dream’s protection from his corruption, and Omadd’s machine unlocked the Mordrem part of her brain (or whatever sylvari use to think). That is when she started working on a way to get her lord and master up and running, and with all the leyline study and everything learned from the fight with Zhaitan (eg. dragons eat magic), she figured one strong injection of leyline energy will get him up and running faster than an asura could build a golem.
