Pockmark Rough and Serenity Temple GW1 lore
Did you fight the boss there? I dont know what spawns him, but a very angry redstaff shows up sometimes.
Dunno if it’s Redstaff, but I think that’s the ghost tied to touching the seven odd and perfectly similar stones in order.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
I wouldn’t mind seeing an over lay map of GW and Gw2 maps to see where the locations from GW. I loved finding ToA. Seeing Nebo terrace and the Ascalon settlement. The Grenth temple in lomers pass. Not forgetting Grendich courthouse. Not found anywhere else from GW yet. But would love a list of places I can revisit in GW2.

Pockmark Rough seems quite a bit smaller in this game, i remembered the crystals to be alot bigger in GW1.

that’s just a veteran ghost.
I also had several problems with the stones resetting even though I was totally in the right order…
for those curious
rising sun is the far east stone.
The pagan is melandru
the oldest law is gravity (the dwyana statue used to be composed of floating rocks)
splitting down the middle is the staircase near melandru, as it cuts into the middle of the area
ascending and descending are the stairs to the west
the pillars one is the stone between 4 pillars
and the final stone is to the north by the crumbled pillar
Not sure if theres some kind of time limit to this, because even doing it correctly, I had to restart about 4 times before it worked.

there is an overlay map with all the missions and towns from gw1 shown on the gw2 map. i’ve seen it pop up a few times here on the forums already.
sorry i dont have the link, but i’m sure if you googled “guild wars map” it would turn up somewhere near th top of the search
Don’t you mean pockmark flats?

Here’s one. Things don’t line up perfectly in every case, but they’re close enough to give you an idea.
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.
So I’m not alone! I get so many little thrills from things like this, and finding that old crystal again was a big one. My character was standing there looking down on it from roughly the same spot that her namesake had, 250 years before. I just thought that was cool.

Dwayna’s is fourth, not third; splitting down the middle (the stone wall – not a staircase, I think) that’s third.
There is a timelimit, though first time I did it, the stone wall one was counted as wrong.

I loved seeing the “worn out” lighthouse in Lions Arch (GW2), I remember traveling there in GW1 – also the fact that ancient Lions Arch is underwater now is just really cool. Just for nostalgic reasons i started swimming in the areas I’d walk in GW1, like “merchants row” and where “First watch Sergio” is. Just some real awesome games with some fun quirks.
Since this has been brought back, a couple things that have yet to be mentioned:
Kendrick spawns at the end of a short event chain- a collector event, and then an escort. Supposedly Rashenna can also spawn, but I’ve been looking on and off for months and haven’t been able to trigger her. An NPC in the Priory camp also mentions a member of Ascalon’s Chosen- possibly referring to the vet enchanter that the stones spawn.

FYI That lighthouse in Lion’s Arch used to be still standing. I even have a beta picture of my character next to it, but it was destroyed in the Lost Shores event. Oh how things have changed.
Is it me or has anyone else noticed that the landscapes are spatially smaller in GW2? Visiting the Pockmark Flats area nowadays I was struck by just how small an area it was. In GW1 it seemed almost 3 times bigger. /shrug
