Why does Vigil and Whispers have a base in LA we can walk around in but the priory doesn’t? They have one in every city so it makes sense that they would have one in LA too. I know there is a gate that goes right beside the priory base but even before that I don’t recall a base for them.

I haven’t gotten to get in-game yet (accursed integrated chipset!) but I saw in one of WP’s videos that there’s a Priory encampment on the shore under the tengu wall now.

If you mean more generally why they’ve never had a building- they haven’t needed one (well, they did have a single uninhabited house, but you get what I mean). Their excavation site at the old keep and their tent on the beach above the sunken ruins between them constituted an equivalent presence to what the other orders had set up, and the set-up was what it need to be to pursue their interests. The Order of Whispers is in LA to manipulate politics in the name of inter-racial unity, so they have a obscure hub with backdoor access to the halls of the LA government. The Vigil is in LA because the Lionguard fights the risen, and so they have their own corner of Lionguard HQ. The Priory is in LA because they like ruined cities, so they’re based at the camps next to the ruined city.

And since the ruins of the keep got smashed a bit, and is a focus point for rebuilding (My take on the three sets of crafting stations. Easy access for each part of the city to get to expert craftsmen and tools), they relocated and set up a camp on the beach. I’d expert them to return to the ruins of the old LA keep once rebuilding is further along or finished.

Going from early beta stuff, originally the Black Lion Trading Post HQ was to be a Priory base (this is why we meet Gixx there in the PS). But it got changed during development.

Yeah, there’s a Priory encampment on the beach now near where Cobiah’s statue used to be. My guess is that they’re there analyzing the Breachmaker’s remains.

But even before that, there used to be a Priory dig site digging up some of the old ruins of Lion’s Arch. That could be considered as their base of operations, I guess.
