Just today I noticed a Quaggan on a beach in Lion’s Arch singing a song.

“Swimming, Swimming, Swimming
all summer long.
Swimming, Swimming, Swimming
makes your flippers strong”

I remember saying that Guild Wars 1 had many a somber story and slightly darker feel,
but it’s bits like this Quaggan that make me think twice. This NPC is singing a song about his race’s exodus from the sea in flight of Bubbles. It put an image in my head of caravans of Quaggan trudging through the Unending Ocean for months to reach Tyria’s shores while whole groups sang this song to keep their spirits up.

Well done Anet.

You are maybe overthinking this a little…

You don’t win friends with salad! Sorry I just got caught up in the rhythm.

maybe he is or maybe its a similar situation with “ring around the rosie” a song about the effect of the bubonic plague.

its very possible that this is also false

This song is one of many sung in the nursery at Mellaggan’s Grotto in Timberline Falls (some other LA ambient dialogue can be found elsewhere to).

It’s a quaggan nursery rhyme, IMO.

Dear ANet writers,
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

Not trying to derail, but yes, it is false.
